    This is a survival horror game from Ubisoft Montpellier which I imagined to be gash but hands on are a lot more positive.

    Was there an actual game to try? I thought the Nintendo conference demo was all CG?

    Only game interested in on the Wii u

    One bite and it's game over, new character gets all the equipment you left,like dead souls, find your previous character who is now a zombie, kill him to get your previous kit back

    Any skill points you character had you lose when they die

    Using the table screen to access is in real time like in dead space

    Only time you are immune from zombie bites is when you find anti virus, meant to be rare items

    No check points, no game over screens


    Edge magazine said About zombie u. Basically offline version of DayZ with out anyone bothering you. Ubisoft also mentioned MP aspect, guess horde mode. Co op would be fun

    Yes, all CG apparently.

    Remember the Wii launch and Red Steel, it's doubtful the real game will match up to Ubisoft's bullshots.

    Didn't see the Nintendo conference, didn't they show off any gameplay of this. Was gamplay footage on spike tv

    The gampeplay footage on Spike was actually really cool. I like the whole Rogue-like style to gameplay.

    One question I do have is if there will be a cap on how many survivors are in the city or if they are all randomly generated on demand?

    Resident Evil was one of the better games on the Wii, and the wiimote worked really well with the point and shoot. Its very disappointing they seem to have abandoned it here in favour of some the new gamepad.

    You see, I had assumed bullshot footage, and a generic zombie shooter. Then they said permadeath, kill your previous life to get gear back, and I'm all in for that.

    If the levelling system allows for sufficient skill advancement, the permadeath is going to be pretty painful (in a good way). If you can just max out a character in a couple of hours, it could end up being a bit throwaway.

    I wouldn't mind if each new character has random stats and skills, forcing you to play the game differently.

    I'm not usually a fan of permadeath, but from the gameplay footage it doesn't really look like it's ever going to be unfair. That's my main concern when they go with permadeath - you can't have that threat combined with unfair 1 hit kill traps or creatures that could potentially kill without warning.

    Thankfully it seems to be forgiving enough that it could be a great motivator without feeling forced. I'm certainly interested so far.

    The little timer thing that shows how long you survived for is just screaming out for online leaderboards.

    They really went all in with the gimmicks eh? First I thought having to look at the pad screen for items was downright silly. But with the permadeath in mind it's justified. Spending time looking for stuff and risking an attack is a risk/reward if I ever saw one.

    A word of warning though. I f this is the game that odd ball Miiverse video was based on then theree WILL be instadeaths. Could it be that DeamonSouls is the inspiration?

    Or maybe I'm reading to much into the fact that this features zombies and scanners.

    If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

    I hope it discourages camping. Sends a few zombies our way if you decide the room you're in is too comfy to leave :) Couldn't really tell from the vids, given no-one is going to take the only chance they have to play and just stand around!

    Can you point the gamepad at the screen to aim or do you have to use the thumbsticks?

    I'm really not sure about these zombies either, none of them are being brought down by headshots and some are being killed by a knife to the neck. This is looking a lot more like 28 Days Later than true zombies to me, yet its called Zombi.

    It's not a knife, it's a syringe of an antivirus type thing. It's a one-off get out of jail free card, if they grab you again you're done for.

    After being quite underwhelmed by the initial wii u, theres a couple of games im quite interested in, this is one of them. The interview on gametrailers was interesting, permadeth, come back as another player, skill up if you dont die, liking the sound of it.

    This game began life as a Raving Rabbids shooter on the Xbox 360; then the game evolved into Killer Freaks from Outer Space and now we have a zombie survival game on the Wii U. “How long can you survive?” Is the object of the game; is this because the game is so early in production that the developer has yet to come up with a goal?

    It would be a nice twist if you obliterated all of the zombies and the game ends where you stand face to face with the final zombie and that zombie happens to be you.

    I remember last E3 they showed a mode for killer freaks from outer space where one player with the pad could position the placement of the aliens kind of like a top down strategy game whilst the other player killed them on the TV fps style. I hope they keep that as it will be a little like being the director of L4D. If not I will still be tempted by this game, looks decent so far and it's set in London.

    Just got round to watching the nursery gameplay. Got quite absorbed in that. Seems really promising. Def , if there is going to be cheevo's, going to be a one run playthrough for sure.

    Aslong as they get the survial horror basics right its going to be intersting. Liking the dark/demon souls thing going on as well.
