Registered 11 years agoLooking at that latest video... possibly. When he got into the cars you could see a listing in the right corner of the screen showing the aspects of the car were stock, suggesting that they can be upgraded.
These included:
Body
Chassis
Power Train
Tyres
Nitrous
What level of upgrading will be possible is really the question though. I have a suspicion that it won't be massively detailed and instead just have certain levels of upgrade for each item. Whether you'll then be able to have a custom paint job... who knows? -

Registered 4 years ago@Tricky - interviews I've seen indicate otherwise. From what they've said and what they've done previously, I wouldn't expect any more visual customisation than changing the paint job. There will be power- and body-related customisations though, as you've noted. -

Loved Hot Pursuit and this is shaping up very nicely. -

Registered 10 years agoHaving not played it, it is pretty hard to tell, but it looks to me like they've lifted the Burnout Paradise driving model and stuck real-life cars on top of it.
I'll be playing it at the Expo at the end of this week, so I'll be sure to keyboard-splurge my initial feelings about it after that, anyway! -

If it is network'd up, I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to claim that being beaten in races and taken down all the time is 'lag', but I'll give it a rum go!agparrot wrote:

Registered 11 years agoIt's probably one of my favourite games at the expo, even if it is just Burnout handling with pretty graphics - and it does have very pretty graphics. I still don't know how the gameplay works, as I took over someone elses game, but just pootling round the city was fun.Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Registered 11 years agoI enjoyed it after finally getting a long go on it - the 1 minute race for the leaderboard was dull, but driving round in free roam was quite entertaining, very much the Paradise City feel, but with cops chasing round after you. -

Registered 6 years agoNot sure what people are after with nfs. I thought it looked very nice, lighting was pretty and the handling was good. Far too early to judge on that small demo. Can't comment on lack of traffic because I honestly didn't notice. I thought this, grid 2 and forza all played very well. -

Registered 11 years agoPlayed this again today. I can see what people mean about the lack of traffic - I felt like shouting out whenever I see one. This is no Burnout without oncoming. Still, handling is right up my street and it looks stonking. I'll hold fire for reviews, but if it's not majorly broken in terms of SP career progression, I'll be picking this up.Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!
