There's so many of these fricking things now they probably warrant their own thread. Anyway.

New one launched today. Bundle in a Box. Point and click themed (well, adventure, one of the games is an IF).

Gemini Rue, Time Gentlemen Please, Ben There Dan That, 1893, The Sea Will Claim Everything + soundtracks and The Shivah and Metal Dead for beating the average.
  • Deleted user 23 May 2012 15:40:28
And this one's slightly different in that the minimum purchase price actually falls with more sales, rather than rising. But yes.

The prices drops with more sales? Surely I'm not the only one that sees a flaw with that model.
  • Deleted user 23 May 2012 16:52:44
Depends if you think $2.99 is currently too much for several stellar games, I guess.

Now that really IS a great bundle - I already have GR and TGP/BTDT (sorry, I'm getting very lazy). Anyone tried the others?
  • Deleted user 23 May 2012 20:05:59
The Shivah is rough around the edges, but really really good. 1893 I've only really fleetingly tried, but it's also pretty darn good thus far. Haven't tried the other two yet.

It's what happens at retail. Sort of.

Well, it's part of what leads to mental Steam sales anyway.

The difference with retail being that I don't know that if I wait for 19 more people to buy it then I can get it for cheaper. And who's going to want to be one of those 19 people - they know that if they wait it'll be cheaper for them! It'll probably end up like an eBay auction with everyone trying to get in at the very end.

I hope it does well though, it's a decent selection of games and a bit different from the usual bundle fair.

Are the two extra games worth paying a bit more for?

a good, I've wanted to buy GT for a while

Indie Gala V is live. I'll give it a miss, but there's some good stuff in there. Have a look.

And if you're interested in indie stuff (instead of completely and utterly sick of hearing the word "indie"), Steam have decimated the price of Indie Game: The Movie. ^^

Personally, I find it a shame that none of these new bundles since the original Humble Indie Bundles have supported open source gaming, and porting to other platforms. It seems that in spite of the all the humble bundles indicating that there's money to be made from alternative platforms, none of the following bundles have made the same options available.

Good to have all of these bundles collected together in the same place though. Cheers Gremmi.

Got a key or two for this, will be running a small competition for a bundle a bit later (once I can figure out an idea for one)

Oi, where's Lasercat 2?! Don't go wasting your ideas on competitions until you've given us that, mister!

I'm not fussy about anything but LaserCat, but I'll have the bundle anyway because I LOVE LaserCat and it's always nice to have a few other indie games for a rainy day :)

The Void is a fantastic too, well worth a go. Bit frustrating when you realise you've literally painted your way into a dead end, but you can always keep multiple saves or cheat. I'd even recommend that, as it's more about the experience rather than the challenge (though still try without cheats first).

The ship is the game that assassins creed stole the multiplayer idea from, but does it a lot better. I hope people still play it online.

    I've just got this bundle.

I've already got Gemini Rue so someone can have that if they want, just send me a PM. I assume I can just give out the Steam code.

It's a really great game btw.

    Humble Bundle 5

Amnesia, Psychonauts, Limbo, Superbrothers: Swords and Sorcery EP and Bastion (if you pay over the average) + soundtracks for them all. Not too bad.

    The trailer is really cool

Hope this doesn't drain too many sales from the indie royale bundle :p Oh well, it's for charity in the end

@meme - Not too bad?! That's got to be the best bundle of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Shame that I have all of them, apart from Superbrothers. I don't have a Steam version of Psychonauts, so I still think that I'll chuck some moolah their way. Pity you don't get individual codes for the games - it would have been nice to give them away to fellow EG-ers.

Already have Bastion - which I never play - so went for the cheap bastard route and only paid a couple quid.

Man, I already own ALL of these and I still want to buy it... Soundtracks could be nice I guess. I really liked the S&S and Bastion soundtracks I've already bought...
And I just got a second kid and won't have time to play them anyway... :(

I already have Psychonauts and Amnesia on steam and Limbo on Xbox, but 4.80 seems reasonable for Bastion + soundtracks. I'm sure that other game isn't bad either.
  • Deleted user 31 May 2012 19:37:17
Everyone should own these games, they're all awesome.

I feel like a cheap git, but I already used most of what little money I had left on the Royale bundle. I just can't pass up Amnesia at that price, I never finished it last time I played. May the gaming gods forgive me for my cheap gitishness.
