360/PS3 have Video Chat and integrated online Game Support from other players?
    Right you are.
They have video chat. Fuck integrated online bebo support as they also both have YouTube for when you can't get past the swollen glands. You think that Bebo game support thing means it overtakes its rivals?

That presentation wasn't The Bomb! it's still incoming, that was just part of the countdown.

Yes, which 360 games show who is playing from your friends list and in a different part of the screen the people in your country that are playing the game?

All of them. Access your friends list though the guide and you'll see who is online and playing what, or watching what. If they are in a joinable game or party it'll show that with the icon next to their name. One button press and you're there with them. You can also view a list of the people you last played with and their status. It always has since it's launch in 2006.

It doesn't show country, but big fat hairy deal.

Ok, basically if I point out something new and unavailable on the current machines to dispute your "catch up" comment you'll just say "who cares".

I've always wanted to know what strangers in my country are playing the same game as me that genuinely useful functionality. Please can you give a practical application for it? You're so desperate it's embarassing.

I love the fact that you're seemingly happy at this. Yes: in 2012, Nintendo have managed to potentially ever so slightly overtake consoles from six years ago with a set of functionality with dubious merit in real terms.

You're not a fanboy, you've overtaken that - you're getting deep throated by mediocrity while giving a thumbs up and begging for more in between bouts of choking.

    Ew.

Anyway. Hope the Wii U games are good - I'm looking forward to how they balance the controls for the seventy five input devices. Wonder if they'll release a bolt-on for the controllers like they did with the 3DS?

Welcome to EG. Where the mods behave like fanboys.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

I can claim with great honesty to be entirely neutral. In fact, the only console I have in my home at the monent is the Wii!!! :)

I'm PC + handhelds only pretty much nowadays.

I disputed DDevil's point (and gave him the reaction he's been trying for) as there are a few things that are new, simple as that. I'm happy that the online stuff looks nice but tbh I'm actually not that bothered about online,I've been gaming on 360 and PS3 for years and wasted shiploads on XBL Gold as I haven't played a single game online apart from Mariokart Wii.

What I'm interested in are the games and interesting use of the controllers.

Good luck with that. History has shown that a system with multiple controllers gets the most popular one adopted and the rest fucked into orbit.

You paid for Gold but never gamed online? Even with a PS3 sitting there with its free online? Wow - we could all learn a lot from you. Shiggsy is preparing some magic beans* you might like as we speak.

Yeah, sad to say, part of the problem is that I don't like so many of the popular multi player games, e.g. The CoD/Halo shooters, Gears of War etc. FIFA is far too bloody complicated and difficult.
I'd love a more arcade football game for example.

Well, we're getting off topic now but if the only multiplayer games you could find to like on XBL/XBLA/PS3/PSN were shooters and FIFA... yeah.

You said that you never played a single game online on XBL or PSN. Not one. You then listed a very specific subset of games/genres - so in the entire catalogue of both systems there wasn't a single title that tempted you to play online even though you were paying in the case of the 360? Crazy talk. And probably bullshit.
