Krater brings you far into the future of a post-apocalyptic Sweden. Once home to IKEA, Vikings and Minecraft, today its primitive inhabitants scavenge the lush overgrown world for technological artifacts.

Always wanted a game like this, big open world with persistences but all from an RTS POV.

Ah, there *is* a thread after all! :)

    Just was released today.

Bought this on Steam, been following the development loosely enough to have no real idea what to expect but to know I like the concept.

Also, my Steam list said Blerk wants it, which should be enough for anyone, of course!

I briefly played the beta and it seemed fun, although I didn't mess around with it to much though as I hate investing time only for my save or character to be wiped/invalid.

Hopefully I'll get time before the weekend to give it a proper blast.

Much like Kostai I bought it a couple of weeks ago but got annoyed with the almost daily wipe/resets as they updated the build.

Finally launched and stable now though, looking forward to getting further in to it. Genuinely fun from what I've managed to play through so far with the character classes complimenting each other nicely.

    :D

I am so sorry. When's the coop mode due, July?

    @magicpanda
Barely played it yet, so I can't say anything, but I really like the style/vibe. It's all a bit Fallout meets Team Fortress 2. In Sweden.

And I'd promised myself nothing 'til Torchlight 2, Diablo 3 was to be my one (foolish) exception.

This looks great though, sod it its only a tenner.

What I love is, even if you're busy having to quickly control one char for a little micro, the way the skill shortcuts are set up, you can still use the skills from your other members..makes for some good action. Saved my scout from an injury!

I've had a couple of hours with it. Lovely little game, lots of character.

One thing though, do character abilities change or level up? I've not quite sussed it out yet but the thought of have the same 8 abilities all through the game is putting me off a touch.

I also keep going for a pause button like Baldurs Gate.

@magicpanda Only different skill set I've seen is with my elite medic I got as a preorder bonus. Believe the rarity of people you hire changes the skill set but I've yet to see an blues/purples for recruitment in the wild.

Dr. Cerebro's heals are an AoE and a stackable HoT compared to single target cast and channeling.

Dr. Cerebro is a so called mutant character. You can recruit other mutant characters from the recruiter in the third town.

You might also want to recruit new characters, because the original set of characters (beside Cerebro) are capped at level 5. I have read on the Steam forums that the developers want to add boot camps to the game, so you can upgrade your old characters.

Wait what? Post apocalyptic Sweden you say?
I thought things were a bit to quiet today, everyone else must be out scavenging already!

I kinda wish the starting chars will get a chance to go beyond rank 5.

My Jintah the Duke is quite the tanky beast.

Nice game but very flawed. The Rock paper shotgun review hits the nail on the head for me if anyone is wondering about getting it.

Boot camps added to Elmerhult, Westerfall, Garbbtuna and Solside Capital. Visit these to promote you characters to green and blue quality.

    Yay!!!
