    Hey puny mortals,
I am in search of some decent co-op games but I cannot find any. Requirements are...

    - They must not be from EA
    - They can be any genre
    - They must have trophy support

I guess those are all my requirements. Feel free to ask questions about why these requirements are in place and until next time, I bid farewell...

Dead Nation. Or at least I think that what it's called. Top down zombie shooter.

I guess Borderlands is probably a good shout before number 2 comes.

    The Resistance games?

I like it when he's angry.

    Dungeon Defenders?

Another vote for Borderlands, and the original Resistance has a full co-op campaign

Really depends whether you want split screen or online co-op....

I've recently been playing through killzone 3 with my brother and we're really enjoying it. Almost (and I stress the almost) as much fun as we had playing the first halo on co-op.

I'll also recommend Castle Crashers. Was able to play that through with a mixture of 3 and 4 people and it was really good fun :)

You make a good point, TIM.

How about Renegade Ops (top-down twin-stick SWIV style shooter from Just Cause guys), Trine 2 (3P co-op platformer, first game is online co-op only), and Rayman Origins (local co-op only)?

There's a comprehensive database of co-op mode games at co-optimus.com which is worth checking out.

Portal 2 was published by EA, so unfortunately you are missing out on one of the greatest co-op experiences in gaming for the last few years.

Even if Portal 2 was published by EA you should let it slide. Without a doubt.

Other than that most have been mentioned in this thread already.

Little Big Planet 1&2 är loads of fun for a long time. Although I've had the most fun with it when I've been playing with my gf. Not that much experience with online co-op. So I guess it's down to who's your companion.

Dead Nation is also great. Get the DLC at the same time because you'll want more. It's better than Lara Croft and the Guardian of light which imho is better as a single player game.

Trine didn't work for me on console. Try the demo and if it fits go for it because it's a good game. Never tried it on co-op though.

Red Dead Redemption offers great multi and co-op.

Spent a lot of time with Uncarted 2 when it was released. Then something happened with the servers, everything froze and my all weekend, all nighters grinding was lost and I was reset to zero. I got devostaded. But uptil then it was great but could've done with more co-op maps. Maybe it's been fixed for UC3.

And don't dismiss MW2 and MW3. The Special Ops are quite underrated and forgotten co-op.

Next up for me is probably Castle Defenders.

I sleep on my back because it's good for my spine and coffin rehearsal.

I'd like to thank you all for the suggestions and I'll try all these games ASAP. I've beaten Portal 2 I should mention

    I've tried Renegade Ops.

I'll buy it on sale. Even if it's fun and a kick ass adrenaline rush, the voice acting is worse than Just Cause 2 and the story is a bit meh

Renegade Ops is not the kind if game you buy for the plot or voice acting. It's an amazing game though, and excellent in co-op too. One of my favourite games of last year.

@Triggerhappytel I enjoyed it, but I'm gonna wait for a sale on the game, also, I quite enjoyed castle defenders and I think I'll enjoy it more with more people and such

2014 bump - a mate and I just attempted to start the Borderlands online co op which was a big fail as we didn't realise it used Gamespy servers, which of course shut down yesterday. I was wondering if anyone had any more suggestions re decent online co-op campaigns?

Borderlands 2 and Castle Crashers are on the radar, I'm hoping BL2 was given away in PS+ at some stage or is dirt cheap now. Am I right in thinking Diablo 3 has a co op campaign?
