I'm going to organise a moderately big BBQ. (15 guys)
The emat is easy, it hardly matters TBH. And beer of course. But then what?

It's the details that make or break a meal, especially BBQ. I'll do my trusty old staples but I would like to try something new.

Here's what I will have so far:
French potato salad (basically vinaigrette instead of mayo/sour cream dressing)
Mango Chutney mixed with Crème Fraiche
    Ajvar relish
    Feta cheese dip
    Salsa
    Roasted vegetables

It's mostly dips, snacks I would like to get tips on.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Don't want to piss on your charcoal, but this thread is your best bet.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

You don't want anything too heavy food wise when there is obviously going be a great deal of buming afterwards.

Assuming you simply neglected to mention meat, I'll go with bread, wedges, corn, bean salad and humus.

It sounds like a BBQ for the sex and the city girls, rather than 15 men.

That is mostly about the main ingredient though. What I want is the stuff DB wrote. Corn hadn't even crossed my mind but is now on my list and so is humus.

Baked potatos in the coals and a billycan with beans on the bubble for blokes really. So long as the booze is good and the meat is thick, I wouldn't really care about the fancy bits.

The only thing other than meat you need at a BBQ are things to put the meat in.

Meat, beer and rolls which are purely to hold the meat when it's hot. Maybe some sauce.

The meat isn't a problem. One of my mates just shot a boar so we have plenty to go around.

We've all been stuffing ourselves silly with grilled meat for ages now (old and rednecks as we are), so I have noticed the Devil is definitely in the details. This BBQ has to go down as the awesomest of the century so a big spread is required.

Just going "Look, MEAT" won't be enough.

also dont forget cheesy tunes from everybody's youth - that gets everybody going!

Just make sure you aren't still all singing along at midnight with a lampshade on your head while pretending to play the guitar using a guitar hero guitar, or the police will come along and demand you "put the pretend guitar down and be quiet"!

The ranch that is. Human Flesh is naturally low in calories.
