Had a good blast on the tube. It's getting quite a bit tougher quite quickly, which is a good thing.

Main thing that strikes me about this game is the artwork though. I don't usually get very excited about art but this game is artistically gorgeous. Dripping with style, I'm really impressed with that side of the game.

It is definitely loads better than the demo and multiplayer is ace. Will be putting 50+ hours into this if it continues in this vein.

@Gregolution I actually found the art style one of the least appealing aspects of the demo... Still tempted though ;-)

Enjoying this so far, definitely better than the demo - there seems to be an absolute ton of content. I think the 7s were harsh.

Looking forward to people changing their mind about the +1 vita scores rule :p

@Gregolution Have you just carried on from your demo save? I didn't finish the demo, so I'd probably just start again. Plus I think I'm going to use the JP voiceover, as I didn't really like the English VAs.

I am kind of tempted to play it alongside P4G - the bite-size structure might work in its favour... Undecided.
You get a really rare and powerful spell for continuing from the demo, so it's worth it.

It cost me 60 lacrima (spelling) to remove the last dark rite! Does that go up exponentially?

Fair enough style is subjective but there's no arguing there is bags and bags of style in it. The last boss I fought was so detailed, many attacks, huge amount of animations.

Just downloading the bonus pack. \o/ can't wait... Although I should be hunched over my keyboard doing work.

Ah the perils of self employment...

Hmm. Don't seem to have access to the extra costumes and magic. Anyone else order from Shopto?

Just spent an hour with it. Immediately it's stepped up the game a bit, some of the arenas, although still arenas, seem to be quite large.

Tried online briefly and it was, again, immediately fun. Anyone know what the hell whispers are?

@aros Ah yes, I'd forgotten about that. Cheers for the reminder.

@Ghibli I fired it up last night just to see what the Japanese VO was like and it didn't seem to be in the options menu, just English. I'd already downloaded and installed the bonus pack, so I'm a bit puzzled by its absence.

I think you need to log in to ShopTo and get a code to download the DLC.

Has anyone else noticed problems with other games crashing since installing SS?

I think you also need to complete the first chapter and gain access to Network before the bonus' unlock. Perhaps they weren't working because it doesn't officially release until today?

You do, but it still doesn't show up.

I believe so - you are supposed to use them rarely I think or use them and live with the consequences.

@Ghibli How do you access the VO pack? I've installed it, but in the options there's only English. Am I just being really stupid (this is a distinct possibility)?

I think I sacrificed my skin waaaay too much in the demo. I'm having to save up 100 lacrima before I can use it again. That's the desired effect though. I'll only ever use it as last resort now.

@Ghibli Bugger. What am I doing wrong :(

EDIT - Oh, there's an update, maybe that's my issue...

EDIT 2 - I can change the language, but you have to get through the short initial mission at the beginning first (even though you can access options during that mission, you can't change the language) :/ A bit strange. I guess if I follow on from my unfinished demo save I should be able to change it straight away, but it's weird that you have to start the game in one language before being able to change to another.

@Ror1984 That is a bit odd - glad you got it sorted though :)

Heads up for everyone... Just got this very quick response from Shopto re DLC:

You need to unlock the network mode first and then use claim gift via the peddler to get the bonuses. This will then give access to the further content advertised.
Just done that and it's exactly as described. \o/

ShopTo have stuck the price up. They must have known I was still wavering.

@Ghibli Cheers, me too! I don't think I could put up with the monotone English VAs all the way through, sadly!

By network mode, do they mean redeem the network pass? Or do you have to do something in-game to unlock the MP mode? If it's not immediately obvious, I really haven't played much of the game :p

lol - yeah you need to unlock the network mode with the online pass - then you should see an option to visit the peddler.

I think people are expecting me to cave in.

"Getting through a month without buying? Pfft. Murbs can't do that."

    I don't like letting them down ;-)

Liking it more the more I play. As suspected the maps are getting bigger, the quests harder and the decisions have more consequences.

Maybe the famitsu review was better than the eg review...
