Registered 11 years agoColdplay have the most depressing music I've ever heard, it's not their music is bad, it's just such a downer. I can't listen to it without wanting falling into bouts of depression.

Registered 11 years agoThe music is mostly lame but it's the lyrics that are hilariously bad. Like 'My First Rhyming Couplet' bad. I remember listening to one song and guessing nearly every single rhyming word, as it was the simplest and first one that popped into my head as well. -

Registered 4 years agoColdplay are a perfect example of the simple fact that successful and contented people make shit music. First album: good. Second album ok. Chris hooks up with Gywneth Paltrow? Instant shiteness.Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

I was convinced they were shit from the moment I heard them, despite kind of enjoying some of their first singles on the radio. Trouble is, what sounds good on the radio doesn't always sound good on headphones/decent speakers and they tended to get played on the wrong radio programmes. Safe to ignore then.
