Registered 11 years agoThe Cross Buy method is a bit daft in my opinion. You don't get a code, you have to put the disc in your PS3 and then select an option on the PS3 to take you to the store checkout to "purchase" the Vita version.
You can then download it on your PS3 and transfer it to the Vita of then download it direct from your Vita.
Hope no one who owns a Vita but not yet a PS3 buys it on PS3 thinking they were future proofing for when they do buy a PS3. If you get my drift. -

It says you can download it once, not sure how they would check against the disc though. Be careful if you buy it second hand as you would have no way of knowing.
It was only £27.99 for the PS3 version at the weekend, pretty quick drop but well worth it imo.PSN: Adwab2

Registered 8 years agoI picked this up for £24.99 from HMV in their sale on PS3 to get the Vita version as well. I've not downloaded the Vita version but I'm struggling to free up space on the 8Gb memory card I have.
Tried playing it on PS3 last night and when playing it's constantly accessing the HDD and sounds like it's chewing on the disk. Any one else have this issue? If I put in another game in the PS3 is fine and there is no damage to the disk itself.PSN ID: To_Many_Rules

I have a PS3 and a Vita yet when it come to buying this game, I had to buy the vita version as I don't like having downloaded versions of games when there is a physical copy available -

Registered 8 years agoThis was £20 on PSN over the weekend (£18 with PS+), not sure when it expires. Anyway, I bought it and initial impressions are really good. I'm still learning the characters but would be up for some multiplayer if anyone else has it and is still playing. -

Registered 3 years agoHope that a lot of people buy it at that price. It should probably have been a budget priced title to begin with, or even free-to-play for base characters, and charge extra for character packs. I think that if it had been easier for people to try out, it would have been received much more positively.
The game is great fun as a competitive multiplayer game, and probably the best MP on Vita. I play it every day for a few quick rounds.
The single player is anemic though, but I don't really care. It works to learn new characters, which is all I want from it anyway. -

Registered 8 years agoAny particular character recommendations? I find Kratos pretty good but I understand everyone uses him online. Fat Princess is actually probably my favourite so far. Nathan Drake is pretty poor, I like Sir Dan but his level 1 attack is awful and I quite like Nariko (although I'm a little biased as I love Heavenly Sword). I think that's the bulk of who I've used so far. I completed the 'campaign' as Kratos and have done a bunch of training and challenges with various characters. Was up until 2am playing it and I feel pretty rough today as a result. -

Registered 3 years agoI mainly play Fat Princess, because she has great level 1 and 2 specials, and is strong up close, but also has some nice ranged attacks (fireball, and warrior).
I think Sly might be one of the best, especially for surviving the oppositions supers. He can't block, but he can go invisible in order to avoid being targeted. His supers are pretty great as well.
I think I might try Ratchet next. -

Registered 8 years agoI don't get Sony's obsession with Sweet Tooth. The Twisted Metal games have never exactly been massive sellers, and it's not like he's even vaguely iconic in the same way as Kratos or Drake. I would have much preferred Gabe Logan or Vibri or someone from Demon's Souls.
But then, I think I'm a little biased against him anyway due to disliking clowns. -
