On the top left of the page I have what looks like a CPU monitor, little rectangular black box, with a red graph updating. It is clearly some sort web monitoring because it responds most vigorously to scrolling of the page.

Today is the first time I've noticed it, I'm using Google Chrome "Version 20.0.1096.1 dev" on Ubuntu 11.10. The scrollbar on the right also isn't being render correctly, I wondering if it is a problem with the ScriptNo extension.

I'll do some more tests but this is the first time I've ever seen something like this on any website.

    Which website?

And why should scrolling a webpage that you've already loaded use the web?

I would have thought which website was obvious but it was also present on Photobucket after uploading the screenshot

I think the "dev" in "Version 20.0.1096.1 dev" may hold the answer.

if you have nothing intresting to say then you might as well just throw your bags on the truck and drive away

Yep, I agree with neilka. Probably a load monitor built into dev builds, which is why it goes up when you tax the rendering engine by scrolling the page.

It's saying you don't have enough tabs open. Chrome will only work properly if you have every website on the internet open at once.
