@revan8: Great, you found the helicopter section easy. But evidently I'm not the only one who repeatedly failed the helicopter section.

@repairmanjack: Nothing to do with 'hipster hate'. The underlying mechanics sadly just aren't very good.

Hipster hate? What does that even mean. Its just a shit game. Edge's 6/10 was surprisingly lenient, considering their reputation, and EG's 7 is a joke.

A sign of a good game is that you know it was your fault when you fail. In deadlight it is nearly always the trial and error nature of the game or the awful controls.

Helicopter section u just need to run, jump, roll and hide couple of times. No complex inputs or perfect jumps needs.

Easier said than done when the controls are so sluggish. Like I said, if you never had to do more than one or two retries, great, but that's not my experience by a long shot.

How does the saving work on this? The checkpoints seem well placed but when I quit out and come back to it I always seem to be a lot further back than where I left off...

To anyone who has completed this, I'm stuck on a part where I have been taking captive & wake up in a base where I have to break down a door to a room with a sleeping guard in, as soon as I do this he weakens and shoots me dead. I've tried rolling as I burst through the door but can't seem to pull it off.

    Any ideas?

Go to the door and press Y to get his attention, then burst through the door.

Free on Gold and really enjoying this. Love the atmosphere and scenery. Yep, dying on the helicopter bits, but hopefully I'll get there.

Can anyone recommend anything similar with a bit more depth? More RPG elements?

Shadow Complex and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night if you haven't played them.

If you can read this, you don't need glasses.

Yeah I paid 400 points for it and it was worth that at least. Good game, good game.

Enjoyed it just could have been longer and the ending felt rushed.
