    HTCs new flagship phone out sometime next week! I've got mine preordered on Amazon, supposed delivery next Thursday, however looks like expansys are doing delivery tomorrow, so I have put in a cheeky tester (only for the grey version)

    Tegra 3 and great camera functionality. Still waiting for official reviews but the hands on and general preview stuff sounded amazing.

    About the only thing that could tempt me into upgrading to this over my Sensation XE any time soon is a significantly better battery life.

    And since someone kindly told me about JuiceDefender, the battery on my phone has not been that bad anyway.

    Really temepted by this, Have the HD Desire at the moment and love it, battery is crap but brought a seperate high end one which seems to have given me a an extra 2 x hours on the crappy HTC one.

    I will wait till my upgrade to pick this up later in the year.

    The ROM port I tested on DHD was ultra smooth with no lag whatsoever. Found other sense ROM's to be quite laggy. I was impressed with it. The music centre is a good idea. It has the music app, soundhound and some radio thing all linked together.

    May see about an early upgrade to get it.

    Battery life is definitely a concern, especially as you can't buy replacement batteries for this thing. Hopefully they've done some work on it this time round.

    In a way, i'd have preferred a samsung galaxy note, but i dont want to upgrade to a phone thats running last years CPU as that would eventually irritate me.

    this looks good though, also the media link capabilites (mirroring like iphone to apple tv) look ace for holidays

    I picked up a double capacity battery for my S2 from ebay for a couple of quid. Comes with a different expanded backing for the phone and makes it fairly hefty. But if you are out and about for a long day its a godsend.

    If I was not gifted a Lumia 800 for Christmas (a lovely surprise!), I would have quite happily bought this little gem.

    What phones actually have USPs anymore? Apart from the beam.

    It will be the most powerful phone on the market until at least the SGS3 or iphone 5

    Thats the exact sort. Makes the phone somewhat chunkier and heavier, but well worth the sacrafice for when its needed.

    Hmmm. The bit around 14mins of that video is what really worries me about switching to android. And what's with that Loading message every time you go to the home screen? It's the home screen!

You can do all the same shit, my phone has a many quirks as my iPhone but none of them are that important. The iPhone did some things better, Android does others better. The upside it's that this phone was free.

    That is cool, and the above is only my impression of my -fucking awful - time with Android. On a shit cheappo Android and a super duper S2. Certainly don't expect others to share my experience. And tbh, the reason I'm still in this thread is that I'm actually kinda interested in this. Bloody bored of iOS.

    Well that's the main reason I'm going for android this time round. Bored of ios, and I have my iPad for ios gaming if I ever want to.

    Plus the bigger screen would suit me better, I read and surf the Internet a lot. And I have aptx headphones which iOS doesn't fully support, but the htc will.

    If I don't like it I can send it back to amazon within 7 days :)

    Its one thing to genuniely want something different in your mobiles but its another to dive in swearing away and writing off an entire section of the market based on anecdotal experiences.
