Registered 7 years agoFirst one was the best film Will Ferrell did apart from Elf. More an entertaining showcase of improv comedy than a film though.LB, you really are a massive geek.

Registered 9 years agoObviously it depends a lot on your mood when you watch it. Personally I kind of felt that they had way more fun making it than I had watching it, but it was ok. Some good quotable scenes, but as a whole, a bit uneven. -

Registered 7 years agoIts a collection of scenes. Some dont work, some do brilliantly but in the main its hilarious. I genuinely cant see how someone could watch it and not enjoy it.
The only person I know who doesnt like it is my dad and he is the most miserable cunt on the planet.---------------------------------------------------------

Registered 8 years agoNick and Deckard are right. It's great, but the general masses have managed to ruin it a bit somehow, like they do.
Anyway, I'm glad there's a sequel, I thought it wasn't going to happen.Paintings & Photographs

Registered 7 years agoI will concede that it is the nintendo of comedy films.
Actually, The Hangover is more like that, but you get the idea.---------------------------------------------------------

Yep, best way to describe it. It's a completely random film at times, first time I watched it I didn't think much, but I was compelled to watch it again a few days later and loved it.

This won't live up to the hype, though, as too many people will be going in expecting it to be the best comedy ever. -

Registered 6 years agoI confess, most of my hatred comes from people acting as though it were the funniest film ever.
Have they never seen any other films? Jesus Christ.

Registered 8 years agoIt's the Shawshank of comedy films. Insomuch as, hardly anyone saw it at the cinema (I did, I was laughing when no one else was too, so there), yet now everyone loves it somehow.Paintings & Photographs

Registered 7 years agoIt was on BBC3 last night so it's probably on IPlayer for anyone that hasn't seen it.
FWIW I think it's a classic and even when you almost know the script by heart it's still hilarious. Not sure how excited I am about the prospect of a sequel though. -

Registered 6 years agoReally looking forward to it, was in stitches seeing it in the cinema originally, and it's stood the test of time also.
Hopefully they just keep it in the same vein as the original and don't try and make it too elaborate. -

Registered 11 years agoIs it cool to hate Anchorman nowadays? I'm all with hating stuff just to seem different, but a line's been crossed here, Anchorman is fucking awesome and a sequel is to be welcomed unreservedly. -
