    Hey you mooks! Fancy killing us and winning some prizes? Well now you can. To celebrate the launch of the Modern Warfare 3 Collection 1 DLC pack (MW3C1DLC for short) we'll be holding two staff vs readers nights this week.

    Jump online from 7.30pm on Wednesday & Thursday and locate one or more of these chumps to do the killing to:

    Tom Bramwell - Brrrammers
    Martin Robinson - martinmrmartin
    Tom Champion - Venatio UK
    Dan Pearson - danbojones
    Dean Smith - blimeyguvnor
    Dan Robinson - Spydez50
    Josh Heaton - JOSH C4
    Ben Whitmore - bennyw01

    You'll need to make sure you have the new dlc pack if you want to take part. The 10 best players (identified via a super secret scientific process) will each win a one-year subscription to Call of Duty Elite.

    We'll be playing the 360 version although we'll also do some PS3 nights once the dlc is released on Sony's console.

    So, erm, before I buy the maps can you just confirm that this 'super scientific scoring process' allows for the fact I seem to have inadvertently selected the "Bent Barrel", "Droop Shotter" and "Slow Scope" perks?

    Oh yes! Now we are talking! Don't forget there is a eurogamer group as well as the Eurogamers Clan [.EG.] on Elite that I moderate :-)

    Two questions, private matches and can we play on hardcore mode pretty please?

    That's my preference but I think that Mr B will be in charge.

    I'm not playing tomorrow night, btw, so you may want to add one of the others if you're planning to play on Wednesday. I'll be around on Thursday though so look forward to some easy kills along with the dulcet tones of an inebriated community manager.

    Surely the nicer thing to do would be to play the normal maps and then award people the elite sub? Anyone who's bought the DLC (no-one I know as all peeps just bought elite as it works out cheaper/better by far) won't need elite???

    Makes sense. I bought elite so if I beat up the EG guys (probabaly unlikely, even Tom) I would donate the prize to another EG'er.

    Too right! also, anyone that's in the Eurogamers Elite Clan can help out today, the Clan Ops have come back (again), there's a Core TDM Clan Op that I've enlisted us in.

    Just need to play Core TDM between 15.30 and 18.30 today, and rack up as many kills as possible. The top 6 scoring players in the clan count.

    If anyone's interested in signing up, let me know, I'm scanning the forum whilst at work (oh noes!)

    Hmmm. I haven't joined an Elite clan yet. My Gamertag is Elathron - as is everything for me online :p
    Any update on whether it'll be the new maps or will us paupers have the opportunity to kick some ass too?

    @motti82 - I have the freemium elite and none of the DLC - that's my XBL gamertag, sadly no PSN as I have no PS3 :p
    Very interested in joining a clan as I'm an all round player, UMP/B.50/AS50/MK14 - oh and the riot shield :D - are my weapons of choice. My highest streak was around 60 odd I think (possibly higher now) and my accuracy is getting close to 25%.
    In terms of modes, I'm happy playing whatever!!!

    Voice comms were a bit sketchy last night. I could hardly hear Brammers and there seemed to be constant interference.

    Also, there wasn't much in team co-ordination going on. And why the fuck was I the only one capable of shooting down UAV, choppers and murderous AC130s?

    I was getting owned on the new maps, though. Don't know my way around them at all.

    Agreed! still need to learn these maps a bit better! I was getting gunned down left right and centre!
