I couldn't find a thread for this game in the General section... but, anyway, I got the Xbox 360 version yesterday and played about an hour of Silent Hill 2. I didn't notice any framerate issues and the fog looked as thick as I remembered it from the PS2 version but I did have some god-awful sound glitches while roaming the streets of Silent Hill. Sometimes the sound would cut-out or there'd be this horrible screeching (which isn't coming from the enemies by the way, that's a different sound).|
I had actually planned on buying the PS3 version originally but switched my order when I read of the problems with the Sony version in the NeoGAF game thread. I think it's unforgivable that these issues exist in both versions on fixed format consoles. Clearly quality control wasn't a prerequisite for this game at Konami!!!
