    M83, - Midnight City, possibly the greatest pop song ever (apart from Cyndi Lauper's True colo(U)rs). The sax at the end is so awesome and really gives me 80s fever.

    Good lad. You like DMR I notice ;)

    I had on SM Graffiti Soul on earlier,still love me the Minds after all these years. Lightening Bolt is also getting a lot of my time.
    :) Have I banged on about Dexy's too much?

    Is Graffiti Soul good? I should possibly check it out. I was tempted to catch them on their last tour. Their last single sounded more like their earlier stuff to my slightly deafer ears.

    I haven't listened to the new Pearl Jam stuff. I never really took to them. Mainly due to Eddie Vedder for some  reason I still can't really work out.

    Dream Theater, Train of Thought. Petrucci's 200 bpm chromatic widdling is getting old.

    Only about as much as I go on about my man love of CC and Soundgarden ;)

    I have loved Simple Minds since about 83 and I'm very loyal,so Im not the greatest critic,all I can say is have a listen via Youtube or such like ?

    Im not a massive PJ fan but I'm very impressed with this album. I also love TOTD of course.

    @ModishNouns

    Dream Theater went to absolute shit and forgot how to write actual songs when Kevin Moore quit.

    Rudess is for me, even worse than Petrucci for mindless noodling.

    They were fine with Derek Sherinian, he had taste and a wicked lead sound. Now it's just a note-fest. I'm convinced Rudess can't actually just play a simple chord progression.

    On a brighter note, I'm listening to the new Ayreon album and it's absolutely phenomenal.

    @DUFFMAN5

    Indeed.

    I've just put on Marillion's "Misplaced Childhood" to see me through the next 41 minutes in proper 80s style :D

    Wilkinson -  Lazers Not Included

    I've liked the single Afterglow for a while now and only just realised the full album was up on Deezer.   I haven't listened to anything else since Thursday.

    Now you've mentioned that,  I'll probably need to listen to that again soon. Might fire it up for my run tomorrow.
