this makes boring office tasks much more enjoyable when wearing headphones- working with the sales team with 'Fuck the Pain Away' mashed into 'Where's your head at?' playing in one ear has never felt more appropriate.
    This is class.

Had a quick walk at lunchtime to the sounds of Dexy's Midnight Runners - Don't Stand me Down.

    Feeling quite relaxed now. Nice.

Too nice a day for work mind, now I want a cold pint in a beer garden

No One Sun - You've changed your mind again

New upcoming band I've been listening to. Unfortunately they don't have a video for my favourite track California.

Here's hoping it stands up to Rated R and Songs for the Deaf - quite a task!

Currently listening to the new Vampire Weekend album. Thought the first two were very hit and miss with only a few gems apiece - this new album is solid, even great at times all the way through. A very nice surprise from a band I didn't think had that much shelf life.

I like the new Vampire Weekend single way more than I was expecting to, good to hear the album is decent, I'll check it out.

Listening to The National's new album. Stunning. Does anyone else like them? They seem to be really overlooked considering the high quality of their last 4 albums..

    NIN - Head Down

And this is not my face
And this is not my life
And there is not a single thing here I can recognise
And this is all a dream
And none of you are real
    I'll give anything
    I'll give anything

I heard some say they hate The Slip, but actually it's my favourite NIN album.

    @Kovacs77

Not heard the new National LP yet. I thought High Violet was a little over-rated but Boxer and Alligator are both fantastic records. Band deserves a lot more recognition for the quality of their output and in a just world songs like Fake Empire and Mr November would sell like hot cakes!

Bjork - Vespertine. An absolutely gorgeously composed album, really takes me to another world. The perfect headphones experience before beddy byes :)

Agree 100%. There's nothing like Björk, she's unique.

    edit: also my favourite album.

The new Vampire Weekend album. Fiver on Amazon for the download, which is more than fair. Triffic.

Listened to it a few times last week on the iTunes stream and liked it straight away. Few more listens have opened it up a bit to the point where it's an AOTY contender. Not a bad track on it, really. Hard to believe I hated them for quite a while after their debut.

I think a lot of people are going to change their mind on Vampire Weekend if they hear the new album. 'Step', 'Diane Young' and 'Ya Hey' tower over anything on the first 2 LPs.
