I am amazed that after 42 years on the planet I hadn't heard Annie's Song until some advert used it. I almost want to ask everyone: "Did you know about this? Why didn't you tell me?" After two weeks or so of getting goosebumps whenever it came on, I capitulated and bought it. When I heard the rest of the lyrics, I was thinking of someone I lost to cancer this time of year four years ago. I was thinking of how, once every three weeks during her chemo treatment, she could make the trip down to London to see me, and how it felt when we hugged hello at King's Cross station. How it was like what this guy is singing. She never smelled of medicine or whatever tumours do to people or even the wig she wore. She smelled like Heaven.

    Devin Townsend Project - Epicloud

It has a kind of space opera vibe going on. It's currently battling it out with Rush's clockwork Angels as my album of the year.

    Hai! :D

Having a late one tonight (bit too late really) and have Bill Evans joyful 'The Bill Evans Album' to see me through. It opens with this, and is one of those openers where i can't decide if it's to the record's detriment to have it on straight away, as it tends to get a few plays before i let the album proceed:
