Actually, I'm not sure that works. Alzheimer's affects short term memory, doesn't it? I think you can still remember things from 20 years ago. Ah well.
So you could play Skyrim without realising it's all the same ;)

My 50 year plan culminates in turn based strategy. Mind you, as Fozzie Bear said; I could be a lemon by then.

Massive coronary effect 3: Triple bypass.

As I am officially middle-aged, I'd like to report that my twitch reflex had atrophied by the age of 35, and the NHS is refusing to give me a new one. Bastards.

My twitch reflex is nothing like it used to be - but I've found in games like shooters, I can more than compensate for this with experience. You don't need to have the reflexes of a cat on speed if you know where the enemy is going to be before they get there and the cries of HAAAXXX when you successfully judge someone's movements are delightful :)

I've always wondered how the best pad players would do against kb and mouse. I suspect that, while not being super good, they would be able to hold their own thanks to excellent spatial awareness and good decision making.

I don't know if it's that our technology doesn't surprise me anymore or I'm just tired of the same games in different packaging, but gaming is boring me more lately than it ever has.

I mainly play sports games offline, because there's no online MP game that I'm interested in being annoyed with. And by annoyed I mean repeatedly killed - not so much because I'm a poor player, but because the kid who just shot me has 87 billion hours more time invested in the game than I do. Which also means he has better weapons and all that kind of thing. It's just not fun.

So, I spend all of my time mastering sports games offline, but even that gets boring because I become so good that it's more a thing of mathematics than it is actually playing a game.

    I'm hoping a new gen'll fix it.

Usually fixed by a big single player RPG for me. Though recently there have been so many of them that I may have to stick a shooter on for it to feel fresh.

EA's Granny Slam Tennis its in the game

I dread the day when my body stops me from enjoying games or maybe when I'm old I won't be interested in games anymore!

I have pretty much the same view.

Busy life n 2 kids doesn't give me the time I used to have, but I'll still dabble in gaming when the mood takes me. I don't have a particular genre that I prefer and will play online occasionally, but I don't think I'll ever feel the same buzz I used to, no matter what the game. It maybe my age but I seem to get more from reading these days than gaming.

Case in point..bought SSX a few days ago and already bored shitless with it.

I am 31 and have been playing games since the zx. My gaming list goes:

    Spectrum zx
    Commodore 64
    Master system
    Megadrive
    Snes
    Playstation
    Dreamcast
    Ps2
    Xbox
    Xbox 360
    Ps3

Add to that a few handhelds and some pc gaming during the 90's (champ man)
I cant see myself ever giving up gaming due to age. As said earlier in the thread, most of us have grown up playing games which has then become a hobby. I still get the buzz of buying a new game and as long as I keep getting that then I'm happy.

    I also like reading
