    Got the PS3 version of this from LionheartDJH, awesome game! Just started a RTTS mode, got drafted by the Detroit Tigers and not doing too badly in AA at the moment.

    Which control scheme is best for hitting? I'm using the analogue mode at the moment, very tricky though. The reaction times for each pitch are very unforgiving, fractions of a second, fastballs are even harder to hit!

    I'm on 13 and these are the recommended settings and sliders. Applies to 12, too. I agree with everything except Pitching view, which should be Broadcast.

    I'm great at Pitching, but I find Batting hard, even after years of playing. I thinks it's because I usually play late and after a few beers...
    I nearly always use X, and try and focus behind the glove to pick the pitch. Have tunnel vision and only press X when you 'see' it going down the middle. Leave everything else. If you get ahead in the count the pitcher is more likely to throw it down the middle. All easier said than done I know..

    PS. MLB The Show is the best video game of all time imo, so I hope you're enjoying it. :)

    Yes, I'm loving it, brilliant game!

    Was on a great hitting streak in my RTTS just now and then went on a dreadful run of about 3 Hits in something like ten games. Hit my average hard, was up at around .340 at one point.

    Thanks for the tips. Maybe I'll be better off using the button presses for hitting than the analog stick. It's so difficult. By the time you pick the pitch it's right past you.

    Heh. 'Up' is good, in batting. The higher average you have the better.
    .340 is pretty impressive. Top batters in the actual MLB have around that..

    Oh I know, I watch MLB :) My average has dropped to around .260. Have only achieved one of my 4 advancement goals.. Hope I don't get released!

    I've gone with a Pitcher for my RTTS guy. Slightly easier when you're playing at this time of night and, er, drinking..

    Haha. I tried pitching in practice but got a bit bored. Plus hitting is a lot more satisfying and you're not sitting out most games. Although that might change if my current run of form continues.

    I know what you're saying but pitching is awesome. A total strategic duel. Trying to get through a game without losing any runs is extremely difficult. Essentially what Baseball is all about.

    I guess it's a totally different game than batting, which makes both fantastic. I prefer out-psyching a batter though.

    That said, you can't beat twoking a home run. It's so difficult to do...

    I have 2 RTTS games, but play em 70/30 in favour of my Pitcher I think. Main reason is perhaps because I'm playing at times like now, late and after I've had a few. If I could do batting at 8.30 on a weekday morning instead of going to work, I'm sure I'd be a master at it by now. :)

    I saw this problem with deckard but he's still around so must be an error

    I must get back into this - I'm 4th in the batting line up with the white sox, trying realise my dream to play for the astros!

    How long does a game take if you are playing as a pitcher in RTTS on 13? I liked how games were quick but it turned out I'm quite poor at batting - need to play this more at some point.
