Honestly the guy is a legend in my eyes and the session just made me like him even more he is a genuinely a nice guy and quite funny (even speaking in Japanese). It was the best dev session I saw yesterday followed closely by total war which was quite cool in that they should what was going on under the hood and made me really want to play it

What is everyone looking forward to seeing today? I have an afternoon ticket as I want I see the dishonoured session ( I saw the ign preview on Wednesday and it was really cool played it yesterday and I can't wait for it to one out). I also have a corvo mask (the main guy in dishonoured if I spelt it right) that I won in Wednesday that I don't think will get the use it deserves from me

I was done drinking, then Fruit turned up and ordered many more drinks. And chicken of questionable origin. Feel slightly dead.

Got there at 11am and the queue was so fucking massive we decided to sack it for today. Seen Dredd 3D, about to watch The Campaign and then Looper.

Be early at Expo tomorrow. Need to play Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Rising and Zombi U.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Tomb Raider is... Meh. Ridiculously linear to the degree of being just Uncharted, and the demo eally does seem to revel in injuring Lara.

My highlight of the show so far is probably Hitman.

Far Cry 3 is worryingly unpolished and buggy for something less than a month before release. I can only hope its an old build, because within ten minutes of playing i had a jeep spawn in midair right in front of me, an npc teleporting around the village oike sinister Watson, a camera having an epileptic fit, severe clipping and texture popin.

Strange way to do it, it will be even more crowded tomorrow with it not being a school/work day. The queue to get in disappears by the early afternoon.

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

F1 Race Stars was the surprise hit of the show for me. Thought it looked gorgeous, driving felt good, really looking forward to getting a proper hands on when the demo comes out. (Nov maybe ?)

I gave up on COD BLOPS2. Waited half an hour to get to the front of the q. Then realised that was just the entrance to the compound, and there was another hundred or more people ahead of me still. Bugger that.

Booth babes were an embarrassment though. Do we really need the industry portrayed in that manner ?

I know the qr codes are a joke and I have only seen one perso use them (some guy dressed as altier). The queues have out me off trying some games but I think the one I keep going back to was aliens colonial marines I liked hotman and dishonoured is awesome even dmc seemed cool my big disappointment was far cry 3 I saw a jeep killed the driver run up to it and another driver popped up from thin air and I spent 10 minutes walking around not seeing another person/vehicle has anyone tried mgs rising? Every time I have gone to play it I have found queues well over the hour marker

I havent played it but what ive seen left me unimpressed. I thought the whole point of it was that you can slice everything into littlr pieces? Didnt see any of that. In fact it looked like most things were left pretty much unscathed by the deld aside from the odd decal.

I thought I'd try tomb raider before i left as there was no queues and I wish I hadn't it really has left a bad taste in my mouth i sat just to the left of the middle and it felt like I was watching (as that's what the majority of the demo is) and listening to touture porn

I didn't actually see any bugs when I played Far Cry 3, but I did stop playing eventually because I think I killed everyone and had no idea what I was supposed to do next. I climbed to the top of a really big hill/mountain because I assumed I had to, then realized that there was nothing up there so that was that. Still fun to play though :)

Yeah that Tomb Raider game looked good and was ok to play, but it seemed a bit grotty to me.

Liked the look of Hitman even though stealth games aren't really my thing.

Finally got around to playing Colonial Marines and glad I did, because it was f****** great :)

Was impressed with Dust 514 as well. Friendly developers to talk to also.

Great couple of days. Bringing the Rezzed area over was a great move, expo needed more indies. Line up was impressive, dev sessions were too. Big kudos to all involved. Except whoever is in charge of the Metal Gear Rising queuing/rotating system.

I'm not sure how it's supposed to work. I'm only sure that it doesn't work. We queued for half an hour and the line moved maybe eleven inches. There are also two lines.

I have the solution though! And so does ever other dev on the floor. It's the 15-minute all change please rule and it's really as simple as it sounds. Don't bring a 30+ minute long demo to an expo! Especially if the first two words of your game's name are Metal and Gear. The fact that completing it in twenty minutes was supposed to be an achievement worth rewarding should suggest something is flawed.

That said, there's a sweet irony in having to wait around for ages before you're allowed to play a Metal Gear game.

I think EG need to have a word with earls court, I saw about 20 people mostly school kids walk in for free! Security was poor, sorry to put a dampner on an otherwise lovely afternoon. Have said that, here's another dampner, Inde section was the worst since the expo's been running.

Go back to the place next to the river, no queues, better crowd and better atmosphere!

My Far Cry 3 experience, had knife throwing match with a friendly villager, took a car for a spin, got attacked by bad guys on my drive, killed them, nicked their car, drove off road in an extreme manner, got another car, drove to the radio tower, fiddled with it to unlock it, zip-lined down to the base of tower, got in another car, drove like a maniac off side of hill, hit goat, I think it was a goat, found quad bike medical delivery checkpoint race mission, completed it first go, which was hard, took to the air in a hanglider, took in the sights, attacked enemy camp, took it overwithout them raising the alarm getting an XP bonus, went for a swim, got in another car and then decided to see what the plant markers meant on the mini map, got out of car and picked some rhododendrons.

And that was my ten minutes or so of Far Cry 3. It was great.

Very late edit: hadn't realised it put splined rather than zip-lined when I originally posted it from my phone.

I got to have a blast, as none of the queues on Thurs seemed to be longer than 30mins, and there is slicing up galore. You could pretty much do it instantly to bad guys, but mechs had to be beaten until big sections of them were glowing blue. I was quite impressed with the mechanic, as every slice through every angle seemed to register. Blocking/parrying was odd though, and never seemed to work.:/
Still did the demo within 20 mins, so got one of those fancy posters!

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.
