Good game but might cause issues for lefties. Article includes a video of the game in action -

Registered 8 years agoI've been generally positive on eShop prices even when others have felt stuff was expensive, but £9 is way out of my impulse buy territory.
I still might consider it, but as considered purchase. I don't even have Pullblox yet so would certainly get that first.
Apart from that, it looks quite good. I do love a nice tower defence game, and I quite like the visual style.Kirby is the man! Even if he wasn't, he'd just ingest and become one.

Registered 4 years agoI still think it's been developed out of the ashes of a rejected Zelda game. Maybe a Zelda spin-off or something. The character sounds just like link and the artwork wreaks of the Wind Waker/Phatom Hourglass era.
I'm not going to say that £9 is too much, just yet. I'd have happily paid that for Zen Pinball, considering how many hours i've got out of it. Will be waiting on the reviews though!3DS: 4210 4002 8289 (Dave)

Registered 5 years agoYeah I think the devs who made this have done some Tingle games on the DS. £9 is more then usual but it might be value for money, gonna wait for reviews though as it looks like a bit of hard work building defences -

Registered 6 years agoPlayed this for a couple of hours, love it. Extremely high production values and really fresh gameplay. Worth the £9 easily.
@Raiko101 I know exactly what you mean about the Zelda parts, but that's a good thing, right? A nod to another franchise, great character art direction. -

Registered 4 years agoOh yeah. I wasn't trying to knock the game. I do wonder how old the project is though, and if it would ever have come to exist like this had it not been for the eShop. I am quite tempted to pick this up, but i've still got a great number of games sitting around at the minute.3DS: 4210 4002 8289 (Dave)

Metro: High production but slow, frustrating and not fun. 4/10
It also got an IGN 8.0 and an official nintendo mag 87%
It sounds like some people are finding it a pain as the game doesn't have a tutorial like most do these days and even the manual doesn't tell you everything, others enjoy finding stuff out for themselves. -

Registered 11 years agoI don't even acknowledge the likes of Metro as review sources, they never know what they're talking about. I remember the time the Standard slated Link to the Past for the GBA for having too much writing. I already knew that mainstream media coverage of games was totally clueless, but that made my mind up to not even bother reading what they've got to say anymore.
Looks like the games sites rate it though, which is promising. -

Registered 11 years agoGamecentral was Ceefax, not 4-Tel, and was always a bit shit. Now if it was the old 4-Tel guys including Paul Rose I'd be interested, but the old Gamecentral peeps? Not so much.Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Registered 9 years agoPretty sure Gamecentral were not Ceefax. Besides, they've always been reliable for me and are headed by an ex-Edge editor. I'd usually take their opinions over most websites in fact, including EG. -

Registered 11 years agoI stand corrected. Just goes to show I gave up reading teletext for games once Digi got canned. What was the BBC version again? That was truly shit.
And for reference, comparing reviews against EG reviews is damning with faint praise if ever I saw it.Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Registered 11 years agoI never liked Gamecentral anyway, Digitiser crapped all over it.
Still, perhaps I shouldn't tar all the newspapers' games coverage with the same brush. That review does read a bit like "waaah, it's too difficult for me" though. -

What's the problem with EG's reviews? The scores are flaky but the text of EG reviews always, always gives me an indication of whether I'm likely to enjoy a game (I've bought plenty of 6/10s because I could tell from the text that the game was up my street)/

So thats an edge 5 and above a gameinformer 8. I think this game needs a demo because some people obviously like it more then others. -
I agree, it needs a demo. I was going to buy it until I saw the price. I bought Zen Pinball for £4.50 instead.
