Yeah, I've been avoiding all porn sites. As most porn sites that have to hide in deep web are likely to be really dodgy. :/ I saw a link to necrophilia sites in a directory :(
    More dodgy than usenet?

Sheeeeeeeeet! I'm already paranoid just talking about it here.

So in all seriousness what is TOR? Is it a search engine but it finds sites that are hidden? I don't get how it works? if it's that simple to find dodgy shit through it I don't see how it protects you.

*doesn't know much about the compooters.

It's a way of making it harder to track what you do online:

23 minutes of 'deep web' is enough to get 23 years in prison alongside Gary Glitter.

Indeed, couple of clicks from the main page of hidden-Wiki and you might find yourself on the front page of The Sun.

I didn't find much of interest. But then maybe my search terms were more conservative!

Where to find professional assassins, child pornography, information brokers, arms dealers, drug dealers/runners, CIA/MI5/MI6 hotels and contacts....

I'm half-expecting to be arrested within the next 48 hours.

Ok. Obvious question time. How much of what you found was bullshit? And how would you know it wasn't? After all, if all you needed to do to find an assasin was to install tor and arse about following some wiki links, don't you think that would be a bit easy for the people who's job it was to catch assassins?

You pay them using bitcoins. I had no idea what they were neither, Wikipedia have a good article on them.

Oh, and the arms dealers are genuine; someone I know bought a disabled AK-47 "spetznas" off one of those sites.

Apparently the Wikileaks information has been available for years, it only came to the fore when Assange put the site on the visible web.

    I can't type

I would imagine the sites leading to cp are honeypots.

Essentially. Tor then search for "the hidden wiki", then use a link for the onion directory or some other.
