Really tempted to pick up Harvest Moon Innocent Life whilst it's on sale. It intrigues me you see. Always has.

I've never really played any harvest moon game, but the 2 psp ones have always made me wonder if I should.

I liked Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley well enough. Brookfield Farm did quite well despite how often I bunked off to go fishing.

    Guys,

Which is the best Patapon to pick up?

I bought one in the assumption if I liked it I'd buy the others... I never did, not because I didn't like it... but because it's quite long and couldn't see it getting much better. So i'd jump straight into 3 if i were you. Might as well go for the latest one.

Someone correct me if im wrong.

GTA VCS is great on the Vita tho. I can't be bothered with it on a console, but byte sized missions are great on the go.

It's so serene I'd barely call it a game. I enjoyed it, for whatever it's worth.

Never played any of the handheld GTAs, so Vice City, Liberty or Chinatown?

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

    Much as I love what I've seen of 3 I'd say 2

Having said that they all seem to be the same price... So I don't know.

I recommend you check out the IGN video reviews of them; they are quite different.
2 and 3 that is. I will find and insert here.

Personally I'd go for Chinatown, as it's the most unique and will have dated the least. Never was a huge fan of the 3D GTAs, great technical achievements but not exactly ideally suited for a handheld, especially with the lack of camera control.

Though having said that, for 12 you might as well just get all three...

Good advice chaps, cheers. I was thinking China as well but then saw the soundtrack for Vice City. Hmm, they are dirt cheap though like you say...

Anyone bought the Mega Drive Collection?

Any idea if Sonic 1 and 2 are good ports?

We need a Sonic collection, really.

And a Streets of Rage Collection.

    And Toejam & Earl.

I had the Mega Drive Collection on UMD. The Sonic games played fine in my opinion and were fun as usual but I think I probably played the Phantasy Star ones the most.

Still waiting for VC2 to be downloadable on the Vita. :(

Think I'm done with P3P, good game but for such a long JRPG it seems rather shallow and repetitive. Looking forward to trying P4 though, hopefully that'll be more interesting.

    @Kay

Does VC2 not work via PS3 transfer ? Pretty sure I read posts somewhere that it wasn't officially Vita compatible but works nonetheless. NeoGAF ? Cannae mind.

I'm awaiting the VC3 Eng. patch myself, which has come on leaps and bounds, and might see release.

It does work apparently, but unfortunately I don't have a PS3.

DIdn't realise there was an English patch for VC3 coming - though I'm guessing you'd only be able to run that on a homebrew'd PSP?

Ah. Yep, the patch will be CFW only, although given the fact that nobody thought it would happen, they've translated and coded almost 90% of the story/cutscene stuff. It's the menus and hard-embedded Japanese that's causing difficulties. One day......

I downloaded it the other day and I'm really impressed with it. Some control niggles aside, it plays really well and looks really nice considering the relative limitations of the psp hardware!

The GTA games are some of the best that were released for the PSP. Liberty city is still my favourite, even though Vice City was the best for me on the PC. A nice gangster story with the usual twists. Vice City has the best soundtrack by far, but felt more rambling to me and lacked the simplicity of the other 2 games. It also had one of the most frustrating missions I ever played as one of it's first, in a burning warehouse, that probably put me off it but after that it improves tremendiously. The first 2 GTA's look old on the vita though, but they are still fun.

Chinatown on the other hand looks great. And if you want to replay the likes of GTA 1 and 2 it's probably the closest thing until Retro Rampage. It doesn't have the radio hosts that the first 2 games have, but it does actually look like it could have been a Vita release.

Personally brought all 3, they usually cost a lot more and there's a lot of gameplay. Vita is now my most used device, and even if it dies commercially with the oncoming Playstation support and all the PSP libary, will keep me going a few years.

Hey @JayG, remember that mission well from VC, never got past it.
Is there anything similar in LC? Might pick that up if it avoids the difficulty spikes of VC.

No. LC has nothing that frustrating. There are plenty of save games available on-line past that stage for VC though, and it's very easy to put PSP save games onto the Vita. In fact if I couldn't have used my old PSP save I probably wouldn't have bothered with Vice City again.

Well there is at least one more frustrating mission in Vice City Stories IIRC. The one where you have to shoot down a bunch of enemies shooting at your guys from roofs around a parking lot. You must use a sniper rifle and only have like 30 seconds to do it. Annoyed the hell out of me.
The hell, just thought of another one ;)Bikini babes shooting at you in a swimming pool? That was tough too.
BTW I've never used on-line save games for these GTA games as I love the franchise.
