Corpse party is a bit of a slog imo. Better off watching a walkthrough on youtube.

Ah fuck, was beginning to think that. I've spent the past 45 minutes wandering around identical hallways to get to shitty, irrelevant cutscenes with Japanese schoolgirls squeaking at each other.

    @spudsbuckley

CP is anime teen garbage from start to finish. It's not for everyone. Did I not mention that before? ;-)

Just died and my save is back before 15 minutes of unskippable cutscenes about butt-cream and "dat ass", as one of the characters said for no reason.

    Fuck this awful fucking game.

Although it does get more interesting later on. The story can be properly disturbing. Your call :-)

Youtube it. As a game it is archaic in design.

Yeah, that was pretty random and actually the only such occurence in the entire game. I think I read somewhere that was not in the original script and the translator added it to make the character more raunchy or something.

stop it your making me horny!

got some credit burning a hole in my psn wallet tempted to get persona 3 but its still quite steep at 24 and with it only having one dungeon putting me off (I hated the towers in various final fantasy games just felt like a slog) It needs to drop some more so I can take a punt on it! how much is valkyria chronicles 2 on the psn?

I actually really enjoyed it - basically exactly the same as the PS3/360 version, but with weaker graphics.

Hmm, just come across this Amazon listing for Blazing Souls Accelate. It was released ages ago in America but it looks like Rising Star Games are bringing it over in June (15!). I wonder if we'll see a PSN release around the same time?

Why aren't the Burnouts available on the vita store? Mental.

Probably because they haven't made them compatible yet :-)

Unless there are some licensing issues for some PSP games.

    Pah!

Am I right in thinking that anything I buy for psp on my ps3 will work on the vita as long as I don't unzip it first, or something?

@el_pollo_diablo Yeah, that's how they've done it. I only discovered that after I set up all my other downloads into folders and now I have some bubbles cluttering up my XMB.
If you've already "installed" them from a firmware back when you could then you'll have to delete it and download it off PSN again in order to transfer.

And I'm not sure if EVERY psp game works, I'd google it first as I think there are some that don't and there are some that were left off the list that do.

Well I can confirm that Killzone Liberation DOES NOT WORK using the above method so be vey careful.

On the flipside I can confirm that Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness does work using the above method.

What are the best open world games on the PSP that aren't JRPGs or GTA games?
  • Deleted user 21 May 2012 12:33:46
Test Drive: Unlimited, sort of. If you like to drive/race on an island.
    Don't know if it's Vita-compatible though.

Daxter is a mostly open-world platformer, and is great.

Again, not sure if it's Vita compatible though.

I'm still trying to get my head around some of it, but I fear I might be addicted to Disgaea.

It's too late for me. Save yourselves.

Went on a spree this afternoon and picked up Tomb Raider Anniversary, Crush and Pursuit Force.

Pursuit Force looks a bit ragged these days but it's still got that arcadey magic. It's basically Road Rash in cars, but not shit.

Crush always looked ropey but I have a soft spot for it, and Tomb Raider looks stunning, and is a complete gem. It shows up the Vita Uncharted game on occasions too when it comes to putting proper puzzles together.

    All in, 30.

Wowzers, fighting game fans take notice: Guilty Gear XX Accent Plus is actually pretty very nice and good. Sure, it looks pixalated as hell, but that's part of the retro vibe.

It plays faster than BB but you don't have the superfast input you need in something like MvsC3. Also, the (special) moves are very creative and fun to watch. Nicely animated!

I never did get into GG games, so I don't know if they are even more complex than BB games, but it sure feels good for a approach-every-2d-fighter-as-if-it's-StreetFighter-guy like me.

Didn't realise this, and finally I'm able to play my "free" GTA:VCS that was mistakenly listed ages ago. Yay !

I'd also recommend Colin McRae 2005. Needed some rally action, and doesn't look too bad for such an old game. Bit light on physics, but it's got pretty much everything you'd want. Like Group B, 4min stages.......
    *cough*Dirt 3 shite*cough*
Brings back memories of CM2004 days on the PS2.
