@jonsaan I don't think they'll put out GT or GT2, simply because they're better than the PSP version, and that's a bit embarrassing for Sony.
Pretty sure it's a licencing thing. Realistically, if SCEE can get a game on PSN, they'll (probably) do so, as something like GT would sell pretty well.

Would be great to have the Dino Crisis games as well although I think at 7.99 for the current Resident Evil PSOne classics is taking the piss.

After a spider related delay, I'm sorry to announce - it was killed (not before doing some Indiana Jones style web swinging - while dead).

I'm also sorry to announce that Tomba is not on the store this week as planned. Unfortunately, those 2 letters that add up to 11 on the Scrabble board (if they were accepted - which they aren't) are responsible for the delay again but it should be out sometime this month. Oh and Resident Evil 2 is off the store at the moment due to a technical issue.

Anyway, is that all the bad news out the way? Can I focus on some decent news now? Good.

First off, let's talk full games. This week sees the Vita release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD. I assume (and do correct me if I'm wrong here) that they're the same as the HD collection components, just standalone. So don't grab them if you have the collection already!

Zen Pinball 2 also makes an appearance at last. The client itself is free of charge and you pay for the extra tables, ranging from 1.99 for the Plants vs Zombies table to 7.99 the Marvel Pinball tables. Free versions also exist which are trial versions. Got that? Good.

This week also sees the release of something I personally wanted - a free puzzle game. Treasure Park is a game which allows you to create your own puzzle sheets and send them to your friends via the Group Messaging system (but primarily for dropping on the street via near). Medals are awarded for winning and taking part and it also contains a leaderboard. So, how much does it cost you? Absolutely nothing. Free. Zero cents/pence. Nada. Zip etc.

There's also a new table pack for Hustle Kings which features the Carom rules and a new 6ft Pool table which matches UK standards (i.e. smaller pockets). There's also a minis Indie Bundle from Beatshapers which includes Wizorb, Canabalt, Enigmo, Galcon Labs and Breakquest for 4.99 (about 99p for each). Oh, and there's a PS1 games sale but I'll post the full details in a separate post. I'm just about to set a bomb on my puzzle sheet. Now, where to put it...

    Next Week
Given how bad things have got at SCEE of late, I haven't a clue. It could be Tomba, it could be Final Fantasy XV. I just don't know!

If your wallet is hurt from all the sales (and yes I really haven't had a chance to look everything up yet, I will do - promise) then this week's update will be very nice to see. No game (unless MUD comes out - see next week) will cost you over 3 this week. Lovely.

Let's start with full games and SunFlowers comes out just in time for the strong winds and rain to come blasting through (what?!). The game has you shoot rays of light into clouds to water the plants. Direct sunlight burns the poor flowers and hitting the lightning clouds will - well, you know.

The game comes from the developers of side-scrolling shooter, Flying Hamster and can be played with the Vita in portrait mode as well as it's traditional style. There's a trial available for the game so you might as well have a go.

We'll move onto minis next and this week, we have BounceBack from Steel Minions, a commercial studio created by Sheffield Hallam University to give students a simulation of what it's like to work in a studio. The puzzle game is based on a concept that you're a ball that's lost it's bounce and the aim is to go through the levels to regain it. Also on the store is Enchanted Cavern, which I can only describe as a match game...

Finally, we have the most curious "game", which is Ecolibrium. This "eco-life" simulator requires you to maintain a balance of plants, animals and artefacts to create your own eco-system. As it's FREE, I can't really argue against it and initial online (forum) reviews have been promising. Oh, and it has trophies for you trophy whores...

Back next week - and I will get the sales sorted out. Promise!

    Next Week
Erm, I'm actually not sure. I think MUD - FIM Motorcross World Championship was due this week but it disappeared from the Playstation Blog today. If not this week, possibly next week.

EDIT: OH GAWD. I forgot about Sackboy! LittleBigPlanet is out next week!

    12th September 2012

    ****Full Vita Games****
    SunFlowers - 2.39

    ****Vita Trials and Demos****
    Ecolibrium (T)
    SunFlowers (T)

    ****PSP minis****
    BounceBack - 2.49
    Enchanted Cavern - 1.99

    ****Vita Applications and Services****
    Ecolibrium - FREE

Yes, but like I say, it was in today's Playstation Blog update post and then disappeared when I looked today. It's supposed to be out on Friday but I'm doubtful if that's correct or not.

I downloaded the Zen Pinball 2 trial along with a number of tables for my PSV yesterday and loved it so much so that I bought everything bar four of the tables! At 2 per table the game isn't cheap but it was such a tease in demo form giving me just a minute of play, conveniently timing out just as I was doing really well, which only compelled me to buy it.

It's expensive but the fact that I got the PS3 version for free with its slightly prettier and more noticeably shinier visuals helped soften the blow somewhat. It's ridiculously addictive and all the tables are terrific, especially the Marvel ones. You even rotate your PSV and the tables rotate too although I haven't figured out how to control the flippers from that orientation. Highly recommended if you like pinball games. Looks awesome on the PSV's lovely OLED screen and the music, SFX and speech samples are top notch.
