They do on VIII and IX. Does it need assigning in the emulation/overlay menu thingy?
Hold the PS button until it comes up...
I didn't know that existed, ta. I really need to pick up the PSP more often, it always takes me about 5 minutes to work out how to download stuff I've bought.

If PSP games had some kind of trophies they would sell so much better - hopefully Sony are working on it.

I can't imagine they are. I'm sure the are more important things to focus on rather than retro-fit trophies into loads of PS one games. It worth remembering that not even all PS3 games have Trophies.

I know it shouldn't matter and I honestly can't explain why, but my gaming experiences definitely feel they've improved since I switched off achievement notifications on the 360 and PS3. I can't find the option on the Vita though.

They patented it some time ago.

I don't know for VII mate, didn't grab it. Hmm, bit poop if the overlay doesn't work for it.

Shouldn't the maintenance be over by now, or did I get the times wrong?

I was going to post last week that I bet that no one played the FF games after all the downloading, but I've put 12 hours into FFVII over the weekend....the wife being away helped, I just chucked crisps at the kids and let them veg in front of games/tv/tablets :)

I still don't quite get what captivated me back in the day and now...but I'll plough on regardless...

I've put about 6 hours in, and I am enjoying it, but I stand by FFVIII as still being my favourite at this stage.

Can someone tell me more about IX please? I think I prefer the idea of a fantasy style story than 7s.

IX has a 4 member party set up (instead of the 3 from the others), ability learning from equipped items, and limit breaks are called trance which happens automatically and you get extra abilities and so on.

Other than that, the story is good, high adventure, and a bit barmy (in a laugh out loud way), with airships and the like - the world (and story) reminded me a bit of Stardust, with its colouful characters and so on.

Its up there with FFVII for me, but its a lot lighter (but still has a few pretty memorable and dark moments)

Other than that is great (and much better than VIII :p)

When does Soul Sacrifice actually become good?

So far, about 45 minutes in, I have no idea what I'm doing, it all seems a bit of a mess, the voiceover work is annoying the shit out of me and I want the book to burn horribly.

^Those were my feelings too and I only played the demo :)
No answer to your question, sorry.

Soul sacrifice is actually really shit, no one wants to say it because it was an exclusive but its really really shit.

I've got to be honest - in 45 minutes I couldn't find one redeeming feature. I think I'll just move on to something else.

That's my impression too and I gave up around that point. I've a nagging feeling I needed to give it just a bit longer though...

The Soul Sacrifice demo nearly put me to sleep. Just not my kind of game at all.

Soul Sacrifice? Didn't enjoy the demo at all but bought the digital copy of the game regardless. And guess what?

Yup. Barely touched it. In fact, I think I put more time into the demo.

It was in considering this that I cancelled my Toukiden preorder. Just Danganronpa for me in February.

FFVII then - much like DaM, I can't quite rekindle the love but I'm 16 hours in and currently at Rocket Town, having just met Cid.

@Murbal You couldn't wait for the Toukiden demo out today before you cancelled?

@HiddenAway something had to give unfortunately. I'll still try the demo then maybe pick it up if it drops in price. If I like it, naturally :-)
