    @Ryze

    I don't believe VVVVVV is I'm afraid. But I really do recommend a Vita, train or no, especially if you like indies. It really is a stunning format that feels custom made for the smaller purely gameplay-focused titles that indies are throwing at us lately, which all feel amazing even if you've already played them on other formats. Even some of the major multiformat games feel much better suited to the Vita, and feel much higher quality as a result, such as Rayman Origins/Legends or EDF.

    Hotline Miami on a portable, looking gorgeous and playing as good as ever, is almost worth the price of admission alone.

    Yep - I'm specifically looking at getting a Vita because there are certain types of game that I already own on the PC and 360, like Fez, Limbo etc, that I'd play more while out on my travels, or generally when I have dead time.

    These types of platformers are perfect for the Vita, and I believe it's the best platform ever produced for them, to date.

    There's plenty of evidence online that VVVVVV is coming to Vita, also, unless it's somehow been canned, but I'm sure it's the type of game that would take a tiny amount of time to get running on the Vita. The time will probably be spent on making it run efficiently, with proper support for the hardware and screen size.

    Anyway - I'll be grabbing a Vita in the future, but at the moment, I'd not play it due to driving, and using my PC and 360 at home.

    I never play mobile games on my phone, as they're crap to control, but my PSP was seldom used after 2008 as I lived so close to work.

    It'll be a regular train commute or a trip abroad that makes me grab one, unless I simply pick one up on a random whim some day soon. I'll only start blowing more money on games and accessories, so there's no rush!

    I'm pretty sure Ken Levine has said that Bioshock vita isn't in active development. I think Sony begged him to announce it at the time and whilst he's not against the idea, he didn't want it to just be Bioshock but on the vita.

    Whatever that means. Probably a card trading game.

    :D I have them all on 360 & PS3, and I'm afriad to say Trials >>>>JD. Trials is toothache, I can't stop poking it.

    I'm guessing this is the first time you have visited Vita threads, people don't jump on anyone here :D except sometimes Progg

    Wow, I hope you're joking. Unless you're referring to the joke that is urban trials or whatever.

    Today's deal - Killzone Mercenary for 15 (or 13.50 with Plus).

    Worth it?

    @The_Goon - yes. Easily the best FPS on the Vita.

    @The_Goon

    It's a technical marvel, so probably worth it if you want something to use to show your Vita off. Otherwise use that 15 to put towards something better, as the gameplay is, frankly, poor. There's some shocking level design and it can be extremely frustrating in all the wrong ways.

    It's like a really generic and shitty version of CoD. And this is from someone who thinks CoD is already shit and generic as it stands.

    This isn't the final deal right? Because after the blog murmurs, I was really hoping for a P4G discount. I hope it isn't ending on such a damp squib :(

    Are PSP Ridge Racer and Sega Rally Revo worth 7.99 a pop? Really fancy an arcade racer on Vita. Annoyingly, seems Ridge Racer 2 isn't on PSN.

    Do you think Killzone's gameplay is less likely to seem poor to someone who's never played CoD? I've resisted the other daily deals but it is quite a pretty looking ;) game...

    It's gorgeous. But I'd say if you have never played CoD then you are likely to expect even more than it can offer.

    If you are new to FPSs in general, then it would be probably be an excellent experience.

    Yeah, the only FPS I've played is Skyrim as an archer. ;) Hmm, might get it then, in that case.

    I thought Killzone, was a solid, but unspectacular FPS. Technically, it's incredible.

    Ridge Racer PSP is a decent game, and the Vita Ridge Racer is good, but a bit light on content. You may be better to look at NFS: Most Wanted...

    I thoroughly enjoyed Sega Rally on PSP for what it's worth.

    Cheers, I'm playing Most Wanted on PS3, but fancy a more pure arcade racer on Vita. Loved the 360 Sega Rally, so just bought the PSP one (only 144MB).

    Reading reviews of PSP racers, Split/Second is apparently not so great, and the PS Store says the Burnout games aren't compatible with Vita :/

    Download them on the ps3 and transfer them over? Or buy on the web and access the download list on vita? I am no expert but I have yet to see a psp game not work on the vita, just not all are flagged for the vita as the publisher needs to put the flag to vita.

    Edited by Sharzam at 14:55:43 21-12-2013

    Known as 'Sharzam' in 98.5% of games

    Yeah, there are definitely some PSP games that still won't work on the Vita.

    Doing some more digging, apparently the US version of Burnout Legends works on Vita, but not the EU version _

    Forgot to mention, I saw the Vita Resistance game for a tenner new in Asda yesterday. Think that might be a good price.

    @Short-Round - I actually quite liked Split Second on the PSP.
