Lone Survivor downloads and installs for some of the early adopters who are a bit nervous after some of Sony's recent attempts.

    220mb as well.

Some impressive complaints in the Lone Survivor thread. I particularly liked the one expressing disgust that the game was allowed to release a day early.

The Blog is full of whingers all the time. Someone on the last sale comments asked if Rayman Legends would be coming to Plus soon as they didn't want to pay for it?

The PS Blog is full whingers with an unrealistic sense of entitlement. People complaining that 9.99 is too much after they've been able to buy it for less on Stream. Ignoring the fact that Jasper & Curve have spent time and money making this for the PS3/Vita.

With the PSN store down, I'm going to have to rely on the Playstation Blog for this week's releases.

The big game this week is FIFA 14 - and by big I mean EXPENSIVE and BARELY CHANGED (not sure about the second one). However, if you haven't got any of the previous games, feel free :p. Or, just grab the PSP version because it's relatively cheap in comparison.

The real big title though is Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut, which is a cross-buy survival horror title which has taken it's time to come around to the Playstation platforms. Others on here will be able to fill you in on details of the game better than I can.

Finally, there's a creator's pack for LittleBigPlanet Vita but as it's a time-limited thing, I won't be adding it to the list. That's your lot!

    Next Week
    No idea...

    25th September 2013

    ****Full Vita Games****
    FIFA 14 - 44.99
    Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut - 9.99

    ****Full PSP Games****
    FIFA 14 - 19.99

I bought it today but don't think I'll be moving on to it properly for a good while yet with Walking Dead/Rayman Legends/Killzone & Disgaea 3 on the go at the moment. I've had the credit for it waiting for weeks so I had to go for it really!

Here's a little store tip (I've put it in the PS3 forum too), hope it helps...
If you have any being considering to buy something on special offer with PS+ discount, and not got round to it (Sony has started to remove this discount the day before the store updates), I suggest you put it in your basket on the store on the PC (not on the Vita or PS3)
Reason is, even if the discount is removed, it seems to stay in your basket at the discounted price.
Today, I just got Spelunky for 9.59 while on PS3/Vita it showed as 11.99 ... weeks after the PS+ discount has been removed

This might be a bit OT here, but if you have a US account on PSN you can currently get Valhalla Knights (1) for free. It's a Japanese action RPG, though not very good IMHO. Playable on PSP and Vita.

A small update today to see me off on my hols (I'll still be updating, don't worry ;)). Atomic Ninjas is the sole new game out this week. The game sees 4 ninjas fighting it out in an arena. This game is cross-buy with the PS3 game and I you can play against PS3 players as well. A demo is available for the weary.

Today also an end to the Atelier Meruru Plus bundle so you'll no longer get the bonus DLC if you buy it now. There is some DLC out separately though (the one and the same?). Today also sees the release of a new Pinball Arcade table.

Finally, there's a sale on some Lego games on the store for those who want some fun in their lives!

    Next Week
WORMS! Supposedly dragon's Crown as well, though the PSN version may be a week late.

I don't know what they've done to Pinball Arcade, but the frame rate has suffered.

Bit annoying when you see what Killzone can manage...

    Wasn't the T2 table a Kickstarter campaign?

If you don't want to tinker with the tables and just play them as-is then the pro ones aren't really worth the extra are they?

I think i've seen people say this for the last few tables that have come out. T2 not worth it then?

T2 is a good conversion. There are still a few where the rate is bad but some were patched (Dr Dude) - one of the best tables, Medieval Madness, is still awful however. Best to pick and chose table packs - my personal favourites are:

#2 Cirqus Voltaire and Funhouse - both brilliant tables
#3 Gorgar and Monster Bash - Gorgar is one of the best old school tables, while Monster Bash is one of the best tables full stop.
#5 Harley-Davidson Third Edition and Taxi - H-D is shit, but Taxi is probably my favourite table.
#13 Space Shuttle and White Water - again a great combo of old/new school tables. White Water has some minor frame rate issues.
#15 The Champion Pub and Whirlwind - not had a chance to play much yet, but both great tables. Think Whirlwind has minor frame rate issues on a par with White Water.

The Kickstarter single table packs (Twilight Zone, STTNG and T2) are worth getting, but obviously less value - try the trials first (I think they still do trials for every pack, but I've got the S2 pass).

And yeah, the pro upgrades are a waste of money.

Oh wow I didn't know there were trials. I'm at that point where I would love some new pinball tables but wish there was a decent sale ie Season One for 10 or Zen packs for 4 or less.

I'm not interested, but if I were I'd be going for the 9.99 version of that game.

You're going to edit your post and make me look stupid in revenge aren't you.

Sorry - it wouldn't let me post both links in the same post...

Agreed that 12 for Worms is a bit steep. I'd have been more interested with a 20% PS+ discount. Maybe I'll just wait for a sale
