Quiet week - only Thomas Was Alone (which is free on PS+) and a PSP game I've never heard of...|
PS Vita games
Thomas Was Alone
Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi
Availability: Not available in Australia, New Zealand
PS Vita DLC
Thomas Was Alone
|I was hoping we'd get the Hakuoki games over here one day, but wasn't it just announced that one of them was getting an enhanced 3DS port? I'll have to check which one that was.|

Finished VLR last night - never expected 25+ hours out of it.|
I did well at the puzzles for the most part, although I cheated nigh-on right away for the 'Q' room as I suck at Minesweep
K in the Rec Room was worth all the plodding scenes!
|Bought Thomas Was Alone. Played the first few levels on the mac so I know it's a sweet little subversive thing.|

I haven't said that for a while - what's wrong with me?

|Bought Sound Shapes, I'm considering AC3: Liberation, Resistance: Burning Skies and maybe even All-Stars.|
Can't go wrong with Motorstorm: RC, plenty of addictive gameplay for the £4-odd price.|
Considering signing up to PS+?
|Have you played Uncharted yet? And do you have Plus?|
PSN ID: finn1
I don't have plus, no. I simply don't have the memory card space to handle all the free games. If I were to buy a year (£30) and buy a 32GB memory card (£60) that'd be £90 which is far too much. |
Once I finished Uncharted 3 I might get Golden Abyss.
Edit: I have 2 memory cards, 1 is 4GB and the other is 8GB.

Really good update. I don't mind waiting for games as I'd rather one good thing to dl or buy per week than lots now then nothing. I'll probably pick up the TWA dlc too if I enjoy the game.|
Be warned though - AVOID Draw Slasher. I had it on ios and it's terrible even for 60p let alone the price they want. It's touch screen only so the game will be as dire as on mobile. We shouldn't accept crap ios games that are straight ports.
|Not adding dpad movement is just unbelievable. They deserve to sell 0 copies tbh.|
OldCrow wrote:You don't need the space to install them straight away - just 'buy' them when they're free and add them to your Download queue, where they can stay for as long as you like until you feel like downloading them. I've done that with just about everything that's been free, and only have an 8GB card.
Have you got a ps3 as well as the vita.. If so just download the games onto there and transfer them as and when.|
I bought the 32gb card in the end as I just thought it would save the hassle of having to keep transferring stuff, especially as some games are coming in at about 3gb..
|Thomas was Alone is incredible. Such a great game.|
A big release and as is typically the case I'm running very late . Yes, today's the release of Bafta winning Thomas was Alone, a game featuring rectangular characters and great narration. I haven't had a chance to play it so you will need to let everyone else play it first to get impressions. If you're on PSN+, go grab it RIGHT NOW as it's available to you for no extra cost and on both PS3 and Vita. Nothing to lose really!|
The other major release this week is Draw Slasher, an old iOS game that's been revived on the Vita's screen. It's cheap but the iOS version was not exactly brilliant so worth checking reviews and videos.
Also (stealthily) released today is Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi on the PSP side. The game seems to be an action adventure game based in Japan and featuring Japanese warriors. They want a lot of money for the privilege though so make sure you read up on the game befiore you purchase (as you should be doing for all game releases ).
Finally, there's some calorie packs for Laughing Jackal's Hungry Giraffe and a special "timed-exclusive" DLC pack for Thomas Was Alone, which is obviously PSN+ members' way of saying "Thank You" (that's YOPO as well).
No Black Rock Shooter (should have known really) and there are some sales on today with Sound Shapes and Smart As on sale this week. Oh, the Dead or Alive 5+ demo sneaked onto the store at some point in the past few weeks so you can test your fighting ability - at least I think it's the demo...
MACHINARIUM! Oh, and Soul Sacrifice of course

|Played a couple of levels of TWA last night but was just too tired to focus on it. I'll start again tonight! I'll grab the DLC to thank them too and I've decided I'm also going to pick up the £1.59 starbits pack for Big Sky as I still play and enjoy that game. (Even if the 'Retro mode' pack was a massive rip off!)|

|Yes, I'm enjoying Thomas Was Alone. I picked up the DLC which is good too and worth a purchase.|

I'm really glad about the indie PC ports the Vita is getting.|
I've held off getting Terarria and Hotline Miami because I would prefer them on a portable - especially with the gorgeous screen making the retro style graphics look even better.
Thomas Was Alone is such a great little game that I don't mind that I've already purchased it for PC. I recommend it even if people haven't got PS+.
I just tried the DoA5+ trial. My, isn't this embarrassing. I'm glad no-one else in the house has got up yet.|

|You can always play as a male character or chose a less revealing cozzie. It's only your filthy mind that's the problem|
|I need to download the trial and give it a go - how is it?|
