If anyone sees you playing a Vita and asks "where are the games?", give them a massive slap in the face and then show them this page :p.

It's a huge update for Vita this week and that's without mentioning Playstation Plus' debut on Vita. Paying the subscription fee gives you 1GB for cloud saves (splitting your saves from the bubble) and automatic downloading of patches, automatic uploading of trophies and of course, special treatment on the Store with free(ish) games and exclusive discounts galore. If you're on the fence, PSN+ is 11.99 for 90 days. A full year will set you back 39.99.

So, what games are on PSN+ this month? Little Deviants? Escape Plan? Nah. Sony want to entice you to pay some cash, so they've only gone and started with the critically acclaimed Gravity Rush and the hugely popular Uncharted: Golden Abyss. That's followed up by the great Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack and new game, Chronovolt. There's also 20% discounts on games like Escape Plan and Little Deviants (I believe for 1 week only). Remember that if you want a game but don't have the space, just download the game, make sure it's on your download list and voila, you can download it whenever you want (as long as you're a member). Anything bought with a discount is yours whether you're on PSN+ or not.

OK, that's PSN+ covered but the games just keep coming. Chronovolt is a ball-maze type game (initial reviews from users are not favourable though - probably best to download as a PSN+ member). Jet Set Radio finally hits the Vita after a long wait. Also hitting the store this week is Sine Mora, a side-scrolling shooter with style. Virtue's Last Reward tops off "today's" games, a visual novel with puzzles akin to an escape the room game (at least what I got from the demo) and one of the highest rated Vita games on Metacritic. This week also sees the release of Lego Lord of the Rings (assumed 40) and Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale (which I believe must be bought on PS3 to take advantage of the Cross-Buy feature).

Jet Set Radio and Sine Mora have trials to test the waters, and Vita app t@g FINALLY arrives on the store. It's free but only those who purchased the 3G model of the Vita will be able to use it. The DLC looks like a ticking time bomb so I'll skip that. There's a new minis title, with Jetpack Joyride hitting the store. On the PSP side, PES 2013 arrives with a surprisingly half-decent price (I assume).

There's a bunch of DLC for LittleBigPlanet Vita, consisting of characters from Gravity Rush, a new Frobisher Says DLC pack (to coincide with the new patch released today - TROPHIES!), new Super Monkey Ball packs and pinball tables for both Pinball Arcade and Zen Pinball 2. Oh, and somehow we managed to nab Tomba 2 before the US! (sadly not compatible with Vita yet). Oh and a new PSP theme...

Finally, there's a huge discount on for Music Unlimited subscriptions. PSN+ subscribers can get a FULL YEAR subscription to the service for 11.99 (first 100,000 purchasers worldwide) - the equivalent of 1 a month. If you're not going for PSN+, you can still get it at a discounted rate of 59.99 for a year.

    Enjoy the bumper week!

    Next Week

    @HiddenAway

You are doing a great job keeping the information flowing about the Vita's impressive library of games, and this week has been awesome from PS Vita with the new firmware and PS+ offering.

There is a small Wii-ness about the Monkeyball listings, as they should read Splitz :)

For some reason I had it in my head it had now been made Vita compatible. Not sure where I got the idea from as it doesn't seem to be! It's not like I haven't played it on the PSP though so not the end of the world. :)

I think I need to get hold of another PSP GO; there's still so much content (well, quite a bit) I own but can't play on Vita.

I'd go with a PSP rather than a GO version if you did, given how many decent games weren't released over here/on PSN.

I'm not sure I've actually seen a GO in person. Are they really pocket sized? I guess that's handy.

Edit: and you could always have a US PSN account on the side if you wanted.

Just in case people weren't sure, VC2 is available on Vita through the PS3 download list. Or at least is was for me. I've only just deleted it from my Vita to make room for the Gravity Rush download.

And as a previous PSP Go owner, I can confirm they are very pocket sized, even in the leather cover.

I too am waiting for VC2 to be Vita compatible. A bit silly considering it apparently works when transferred from a PS3.

I could just play it on my Go I guess, but I'm kinda used to the size and big screen of the Vita now.

Hopefully by now, you've built up a nice Vita backlog - because there's not much to tempt anyone this week. There is a new free application called Travel Bug. I tried it for about 5 minutes and didn't get it but you may have better luck. Also out today is a bundle of Breakquest fun, with both Breakquest games out for one price.

There's also a DLC bundle for Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz (err what?!) and some free tracks for World Rally Championship (where's the PSN version then?!). There's also a free Turkey costume for LittleBigPlanet Vita (just for this week).

Err, and that's it. Oh, and hopefully by now you've seen the Playstation Plus lineup. Basically, don't buy Mortal Kombat if you're a PSN+ subscriber as it'll be available for no extra cost on 19th December.

    Next Week
Nothing again - though Wake Up Club and Imaginstruments is due within the next month or so...

@chrisno21 The Vita version was delayed until January 2013. It'll be a cross-buy title, not a BOGB title.

On that note, I'll be changing that acronym soon to something more easier to pronounce - YOPO or You Only Pay Once (thanks to NeoGAF)

As we head towards the final straight of 2012, the content keeps coming. Very quick update from me though. I'm sure you'll be fine ;)

We start with a new Uncharted game! Well, more like Uncarded (copyright NeoGAF). Those with Golden Abyss will have an advantage but it's perfectly fine to play without playing Golden Abyss. There's also WRC3 and Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed out this week (the latter may be a tad early but it's certainly out on 7th December 2012).

On the PSP, the Invizimals game series finally arrives on the store (camera required if you have an older PSP model). There's also Football Manager Handheld 2013 for the fanatics (it was actually out last Friday but I can't be bothered re-editing stuff :p). On the minis end, there's err Hotel Mogul and there's some more Street Fighter x Tekken DLC. Oh, and there's some Santa costumes for your SackBoy/Sackgirl (apparently).

There are also some sales for PSN+ subscribers but it's also been noticed that Rayman Origins is on sale for normal users as well. So, feel free to buy it. It's a good'un ;)

    See you next week!

    Next Week
Big Sky Infinity hits Vita and PSN+!

    5th December 2012

    ****SALES****
    Rayman Origins - 12.99 (was 29.99)

Uncharted: Fight for Fortune - 3.19
WRC 3 FIA World Rally Championship - 29.99
Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed - 34.99

    ****PSP Games****
    Invizimals - 6.99
    Invizimals: Shadow Zone - 6.99
Invizimals: The Lost Tribes - 6.99
    Football Manager Handheld 2013 - 23.99

    ****PSP minis****
    Hotel Mogul - 1.99

Oooh, that looks pretty damn nice. A proper version of a game for a change instead of a straight port of the butchered 3DS version like most devs seem to be going for.
