Put a stripe of marmite down a third of a slice of bread, then a stripe of American mustard, then a third stripe of marmite.
Then on another piece of bread, repeat, but do it mustard/marmite/mustard.

Then put in about 5 or six halved sweet pickled onions, and drizzle a little of the vinegar from the jar in too.

    Fantastic!

Its not really that weird at all when you think about it but ham, cheese and pineapple is great. Chocolate spread and grapes also works rather nicely (has to be white grapes though).

Spanky makes the best sarnies ever! It usually involves chicken, cheese, mayo, gherkins and sweet chilli sauce. On white. Fucking lovely.

You had me until the white ;)

My "seasonal" sandwich for this time of year is:

Large cheese roll (plate size) halved, then from the bottom up:

    Mayo
    Cranberry & redcurrant jelly,
    Slices of nice quality turkey
    burger mustard
pork and chestnut stuffing (still warm)
light grating of good quality mature cheddar
    mayo
    Top of sarnie

    Fecking gorgeous

Christ that sounds good. Almost like the sarnies my nan used to make with turkey leftovers when I was a kid. Usually slammed between two huge chunks of tiger bread (that's bread baked with sesame oil rubbed into the crust)

If I wasnae a veggie I'd have one of those NOW!

Completely off topic. If you're doina BBQ next year. Some big bananas, Sliced open lengthways but not all the way through, Small sprinkling of brown sugar, cram it full of chocolate buttons and real marshmallows (not the sugar coated ones). Wrap it up in aluminium foil and whack it on the bbq for 5 minutes.

warm sticky and sweet. Just how I like it.

Recently my girlfriend came up with the excellent concoction of having a healthy dose of ham and cheese in between two slices of grannary bread, furnished with lavish amounts of coleslaw mixed with a specialty pickled chilli condiment we can buy at home. It tastes like sex. She makes all my sandwiches now.

I have also tried putting in chunky slices of tomato, which feels healthier but tastes the same, really :-)

Oh and if I'm missing those key ingredients then I will default to the magic combo of ham, cheese and tomato ketchup :-)
