It is, honest! Maybe with the demo up someone other than me will want to rave about it. :)

Although one thing really sucks about it... There's no analogue controls. Camera isn't analaogue and nor is movement - that's pathetic. A sneaking game where I have to press a 'move slowly' button? It's like going back in time to bloody PC games!

    Really disappointing

Great news on the demo. I will check it out. To be honest Greg. If this is anything like tenchu, you need a move slowly button.

Why when you've got analogue sticks?

Because if you accidentally run in tenchu you get spotted. But I am making excuses for a series I love.

Ok" Tried the demo. It's Tenchu! I never do anything other than crouch and roll personally.

The gameplay hasn't really evolved at all. Not a huge issue but as Greg saysbyou'd expect a little finesse in this day and age.

Tried the demo last night, found the grappling hook fiddly, hold R, circle aim with left trigger and push down on d-pad - is there an easier way?

Also the demo was ludicrously short, basic training and a 30 second mission.

You can use the rear touch screen instead (but if you're not using it, turn it off to prevent it screwing up the other method). It's one of those things that feels awkward to to start with but you get used to it over time. The only part where I found it could have been helpful to do on the run was during the hardest (semi-secret) mission, although you really don't need to use it at all in that.

I probably love the game more than it deserves, but I love it nonetheless. :p

I thought the demo was garbage. It looks and plays like an early PS2 game.

DLC is up on the PSN. Not sure if this is the only DLC we'll get or not but I'll take a look at it later.

Just thought I should give this thread a bump since the game's in the PSN sale at the moment (16.99) and there might be more interest in it. :)

It's an excellent game. Very addictive, I really must go back and finish it.

    Fine Santashi! You've convinced me!
I'll grab it tonight. I could do with some stealthy stealthy stabbystabstab action.

I played the demo the other day and really enjoyed it. Will definitely pick it up in the sale!

Playing this now. It is VERY Tenchu. I think the only difficulty spike at the moment is the controls - clumsy hands for grapples. Once I turned off the rear touch though, it was miles improved.

These missions that come up. Are they randomly generated? Or scripted?

Some are plot progression ones, they have a different symbol and appear when you have done enough of the faction driven optional ones.

I don't think they are random as such, but there are so many that apper it's hard to say.

Oh and if you just hit down on the dpad it will auto grapple to the point in front of you. Handy for quick getaways.

I've had my eye on this but been put off a little by the poor review scores. I'm just waiting for it to drop in price before deciding to pick it up.

@SlackMaster Have you played any of the other Shinobido games or the Tenchu ones? I'd probably go with how much you like the type of game than scores, personally. What part of the reviews in particular put you off?

Got this lined up next to start - finished Gravity Rush yesterday and ain't going near the challenges again so I shall get into this over the weekend.

If it's half as good as santashi claims then it should be great.
