Only trouble is if the touchscreen shooting DOES make it too easy, and you turn it off, If your playing someone online they are bound to be using it,. forcing you into doing the same. Of course, all these fears may be entirely unjustified

I'd definately buy it if I knew the German version had english commentary and english in general. At the moment no idea if the games are multi-lingual, so no idea what I'm picking up. I really don't want to fill up my memory stick with games on the first day.

Touch screen penalties could be good. They're fecking awful how they've been implemented in 12.

Wouldn't touch screen penalties completely remove the skill from that aspect of the game? Touch screen shooting is bad enough!

I guess.. I'd prefer just an 8 way guessing game tbh.

I won a football bet last night so I ordered this from Shopto. I play a lot of Fifa 12, so this will make sure I bring my Vita everywhere with me.

I'll be up for a few games online as well.

I'll be picking it up, see they have the english version in Digitec. 3 games I'll be picking up are uncharted, fifa and Wipeout. Looking forward to it.

Put me RIGHT off FIFA. 'cut down version of FIFA 11'. No thanks. I'd been reconsidering getting one but as this is the only game I really wanted (apart from everybody golf which I don't really want to pay 30 odd quid for) no my mind is swayed once again back to 'wait a bit '

Frame rate issues, touchscreen being useless. Lack of features. Not sounding good

What the hell do the Metro know about games?

I love FIFA 12 on the iPhone and FIFA 10 on PS3 so FIFA 11 on Vita sounds perfect.

Tbh I'm also still a bit partial to FIFA 95.

It's scoring quite well across the board, 8 positive and 2 mixed on Meta. Metro being one of the mixed. Not too sure why you've put so much weight in the Metros review....

Phoenix Flames - what does metro know about games!!??

Metro game central is the only reliable source of game reviews around, apart from edge, eurogamer and, perhaps, games tm. It has a long history, starting with Digiistiser on teletext. Shame on you! Call yourself a discerning gamer!?

Man speaks the truth. I rate them higher than Edge and Games for what it's worth. It's not like they slated it, it's quite a positive review.

@El-Dev Because for one they answered all my questions as to whether it is basically FIFA 11 and for two I was waiting for an English review so someone who knew the intricacies of various FIFA games had played it.

You only have to see that previously posted video review of an American playing a 'soccer' games to see they might as well be playing columns.

Thing is, if you're at home you can play on your console. This is still the best football game you can play on holiday, so I'll bite.
  • Deleted user 18 February 2012 21:15:32
Does anybody know if this requires an online pass like its console counterpart?

You guys know this game is called 'FIFA Football' (despite the incorrect thread title) for a reason, right?

It's a stopgap because FIFA 13 will be out in about 5 months, and will probably come with the modes and features this cutdown version is missing.

No tactical defending = OH THANK FUCK! DAY ONE BUY!

But then Fifa peaked for me with Fifa 96. Since then there are too many fucking variables, and tactics and now that defending bollocks. When I played Fifa 12 I gave up straight away. (Although I know there is a Dad Mode which I keep meaning to try.)

You obviously can't genuinely mean that as FIFA 96 is actually a massive pile of crap. You could score from the exact same poison every time. If you liked it more than modern FIFA games you simply don't like football

    FIFA footage

Watching this footage makes the touchscreen stuff look really rubbish, doenst appear to matter where she presses the screen it either passes the ball to another play or puts it an a random spot, actually seems quite broken. Not that it matters to me as I wont be using it
