Do you know when this is meant to be released? Is it Friday? As that is what's showing on my PS app on my phone but I thought it was earlier?

Registered 6 years agoI knew the game wouldn't be Earth shattering but the reviews seem to be all over the place. I've decided to go ahead with the pre-order, finish it and decide whether it's worth keeping. Paid £30 so if I Ebay it, I'll probably get £20-25. -

Resistance: Burning Skies Preorder Offer
Preorder bonuses if you buy R:BS WITH a Vita :s. I would assume that most people who wanted Burning Skies already have a Vita and that, considering the reviews, it's not exactly going to be a system shifter.
This "offer" doesn't exactly inspire loyalty.
EDIT: Gamestation is doing the preorder offer and you don't need to buy a Vita at same time. It's a shame then that my local Gamestation (where I worked and was made redundant) was shut down. -

Registered 7 years agoBloody hell, that EDGE review is pretty scathing. Not surprised, though - it's never looked that hot.
Sony has really made a rod for its own back with the "PS3 in your pocket" hype. It's now caught between two stools - powerful enough that punters demand PS3-quality games, but not powerful enough to run PS3 ports.
Both conspire to make Vita an expensive and risky proposition for publishers, especially given the poor take-up so far.
It's down to Sony to drive sales with some killer first- and second-party apps, although their reliance on second tier devs to produce the games is not inspiring - and even then it'll take time for publishers to really get onboard.

Registered 7 years agoI read this morning that there was supposed to be a demo (a 3.2 gig demo - trial and unlock I guess) for it with today's store update. Wouldn't surprise me that they decided to pull it last minute based on the reviews. -

I'm glad I cancelled my pre-order as the reviews I've read haven't been praising it with the exception of GameTrailers but even in their video you can see the game looks pretty terrible visually and has a poor framerate. Gravity Rush is out in two-weeks so until then Mortal Kombat is all I need on my PSV.
