Just been down to my local blockbuster to trade some PS3 games but i couldnt decide on anything to get so decided to sell for cash. They offered me £6 for uncharted 3, £1.80 for killzone 3 and £2.40 for the force unleashed 2. These prices didnt sit well with me lol so thought id ask on here what i should be asking for these games? Surely these prices cant be right.....can they?

If you don't like the prices, don't trade them in. Go elsewhere. They don't owe you any favours or anything.

You're only disappointed because they didn't give you enough for a bag of crack.

Game shops will never give you a fair trade in price as they're technically acting as a middle man. Your best friend is eBay or trading on here.

I've not traded in or sold a game in years. The only time I ever do is when a game simply hasn't been as enjoyable as I hoped. I wouldn't call myself a hoarder, but I tend to keep hold of the games i've enjoyed.

In all seriousness though Blockbuster is the last place I'd go to trade. Their selection of games outside the latest charts is pretty shocking, too (at least my one is).

Take prices from CEX website, print off, take to Gamestation, get £1 more for each than the CEX price - if you can be arsed.

SolidSCB - Just out of curiosity i asked blockbuster what the darkness 2 was worth trade in. They said 20 trade or half that in cash. My gamestation offered 30 trade in.

You will never get the value you want when trading in (especially for cash), but blockbuster is one of the worst for it. Try HMV.

I remember when Blockbusters started trialling the trade-in scheme. They gave 50% credit. But they also ran special offers that gave you greater than 50% off pre-owned stuff (5 for £20 on ex-rental VHS, when they were selling them individually for £10, so buy for £20, sell back for £25). Swapping 30 shit VHS films (most of which I'd had before the dawn of time) for a brand new Gamecube and the limited edition Zelda Wind Waker was a good day indeed.

Last year it was people dropping dead every five minutes, this year it's companies.

They've been struggling for ages. My local one is always busy, though.

So annoying. My local blockbusters and hmv always busy. I really don't want to only be able to shop online.
