    I have played all types of games retro and new, the only time would a older game these days, is if second or third game came out and it was better to play the older games, before playing the new one, ie I would play mass effect 1 & 2, before playing Mass effect 3.

    That'd cost you more than buying the re-release.
    I already own a PS2 and about 40+ games including Silent Hill 2, 3, along with Silent Hill 1 for the PSone which I can play on the PS2 ;D

    I really want Haunting Ground.

    I'm viewing the whole 'remaster' thing pointless. From what I've read the Silent Hill HD experience is dire. Best leave the past in the past. If you want to play a PS2 game buy a PS2 and the game.
    On the other hand, the DMC HD collection is supposed to be excellent apart from some menus which are still in 4:3.

    @Feanor

    Looks impressive. Game play wears thin all too quickly. The intro looks stunning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0_LI4vlZZk
    This is simply YouTube quality. Running on the PS2 its looks amazing.
