WipEout 2048 • Page 10

Finished the Fury campaign yesterday - found it much tougher than HD, and didn't like some of the new modes.
Still an excellent piece of DLC, though.
What gripes me is that there are just 2 races in the main 2048 campaign that I can't Elite Pass. Sadly a case of me running out of talent...

It makes me remember F-Zero GX on Gamecube. WipEout 2048 is just awesome on PSVita even without being rendered at 60 fps!
I picked this up second hand. Sadly the network code had been used. It still show's me global times etc though AND let me download HD for free so I'm not sure I will bother with the network pass. I'm not that into online racing. A very impressive game.
How did you manage to get the HD download for free?
@Kay - If you've bought HD + Fury on the PS3, then you can download the Vita DLC for free.
Buy they're definitely worth £9.99
Ah, of course, forgot about that. I thought it might have been a code included within the vanilla game or something.
Ya, sorry I was not very clear. I already owned HD on the PS3 but my web research seemed to suggest that you need the network pass to access the content on Vita. You don't.

What does that mean?
It means that although Sony shut them down we'll see them again under another name? I'm guessing. Obviously.
edit: picture seems to have a 'phoenix from the flames' vibe.

How do I stop crashing into walls at every turn? (I have full assist on)
This game is pretty brilliant. Definitely my favourite Vita game so far. I was worried that the 30 FPS would negatively affect my enjoyment, but it plays beautifully.
Unfortunately, I've fallen victim to region lock, as my HD/Fury copy is from a different region.
How does it work with save games? Do you have to play through your career again on HD/Fury, or can you import your progress from the PS3 version?
@HisDudness - you're starting from scratch, so not cross-saving or anything
Ok thanks. I'm pretty much finished with HD, but I haven't started Fury yet, so after I finish 2048, maybe I'll look at just paying up for the add on, rather than playing through my copy of Fury on PS3.

Picked this up again after finishing need for speed. Had forgotten how bloody amazing it is. I always do this, if I'm impressed with a game I leave it for later and then forget about it. Stupid habit!
I'm really enjoying the 2050 races after first fearing they'd get too tough. Only issue I have is with the zone mode elite passes. Any tips? I usually only scrape past the pass target, elite seems a long way off. Any particular ship I should use?
I ignore some of the game modes because they're not to my taste. Absolutely genius game though - sad about the devs though.
Put blood and tears into making ridiculously awesome game - and fired the second it's complete.

The Vita does seem to be the place dev companies go to die.
But a lot of the Sony Liverpool guys seem to have gone to that other local Sony Studio whose name escapes me right now.

Well I've just got my Vita. I only bought it for Wipeout 2048 any other games for it are a bonus for me.
I must say I think this is Studio Liverpools best ever. The speed, tracks and sound are amazing. I didn't think they would be able to top Fusion but they have.
I really hope Sony will use the SL team to create Wipeout for the new PS4/Orbis/Ormis/Or whatever.
This and MGS are the only reason I buy Playstation!
@GitSomE_UK - make sure you get the HD+Fury DLC too!
@GitSomE_UK Yeah, that won't be happening.
Apple portable devices killed the vita and Sony fired SL right after they released one of the greatest pieces of artistic interactive entertainment ever conceived.
Hope you like Angry birds.
Any guesses as to when this will be part of ps plus promotion? Feels like its been full price since day 1!
You can get the retail copy for about a tenner nowadays, I think. I've had mine for a couple of months, I really should get round to playing it.
I've gone digital only for my vita. i never thought i would but with plus it just makes more sense. I know there is a kick in the teeth waiting with no resale value but ill enjoy the ride till then,

Bought a Vita recently and loving Wipeout. However, it seems that owning the PS3 disc copy of Wipeout HD+Fury doesn't qualify me for a free download of the DLC on Vita; I'd have to have bought those as DLC on the PS3 initially?
I guess so.
Still - an excellent piece of DLC
I wish Wipeout was on 360.
Always thought of myself as as massive Wipeout fan, but having not touched this for months (and not even completed the 2049 season) I think I might be done with it. That's after buying and loving the DLC too
I enjoyed Most Wanted and am still enjoying Sonic Racing Transformed but perhaps after playing lots of those two I'm just going off racing games again. Or perhaps Wipeout is just too tough for me?
