On your ps3 go to account management then download list. Scroll down to wipe out and redownload from there.

I tried that, but it wasn't there. Neither is Ratchet & Clank (my other Welcome Back game). Very strange.
DLC is awesome.
Have to say, Zone mode has rapidly become the best thing about Wipeout imho. The purity, the style...

I imagine this doc will make the game into more of a 9/10 for me! Awesome, now my favourite game on Vita!
Just bought and downloading the combined pack of Fury & HD for a very nice price of £9.99
Well it is pay day afterall. Really looking forward to playing them.

Realised I get the HD pack for free as I own it on PS3, so fired it up last night. Time trial, sedenco (is it?) climb, and jaw drops
Another "my god its a ps3 game on a little screen" moment. Graphics so crisp, on Sol 2 as well.
If only the soundtrack accompanied the 'new' campaigns as well.
I loved the soundtrack on the first psp game even bought the cd!
I do find the 2048 one poor by comparison.
Quick question about the HD/Fury DLC...
... is it integrated into 2048 as a whole (i.e. can you use 2048 ships on the DLC and vice versa, is the leveling up system/XP shared across both vanilla game and DLC etc), or is it standalone?

Standalone from 2048, two sizeable campaigns for HD & Fury. You can mix ships on those packs ala PS3, and there's no levelling or XP present either.
Cheers. Bit of a shame that you can't get XP to use on 2048 but I understand why.
dumb question i think - i downloaded hd&fury as have them on ps3 , presume i do need 2048 to enable them though as i cant see them?

Yes, they're DLC for 2048.
thanks i thought so , some seemed to imply it wasnt.
just need to find 2048 cheap and then i am sorted!
I feel asleep playing HD last night. No reflection on the game just the huge amount of time I played it and a very busy week at work. Superb fun.
My issue with the DLC is the medals totally obscuring what the event type was in the first place. I want to go back to replay the Zone levels but I need to randomly dab at them until I find the right one!
Brilliant stuff though.
Finding the '2049' campaign a little tricky now...

Wait till you get to 2050!

Wait till you get to 2050!
I'm curious about the HD/Fury content - is it running at 60fps? I found the 2048 tracks required a lot less precision to navigate than the HD/Fury ones, but felt that this was done because of the drop in framerate. I wouldn't fancy Chengou Project on Phantom without that silky smooth refresh rate!
So is the DLC slightly... less demanding than the vanilla game?
I'm near the end of the 2050 season myself, been playing with normal driving assist on throughout my playthrough and I've got a mix of elite and normal passes. Quite simply, I"m not very good.
2048 is my first Wipeout since Pure on the PSP and it shows a bit. Racing 'cleanly' is my problem, I hit the sides quite often which obviously slows you down. I still complete every event, just takes a few retries for most of them.
A slightly more accessible Wipeout experience would be spot on. I decided to not buy the DLC till I'd completed the vanilla campaigns first anyway.
If 2048 ever comes to the PS3 I bet it will be easier to control than it is on the Vita.
I'm still appalled they never added customizable controls to the Vita version, so even when I get a Vita to play Persona 4 Golden, I don't think I'll buy 2048 for it.
I think you should try and make the switch to playing without the assist. It's a bit of a steep curve initially, but makes the game a whole lot easier once you get to grips with it.
The default control set up is horrible (one button braking, what in the what?!) but there is the option to have L and R button air breaks, face button acceleration and d-pad steering/pitch control.
Felt pretty good to me, and the game is excellent.
@FuzzyDuck I tried it at a Best Buy and I can't stand using X to accelerate since it's so close to the right stick.
Unless I can change accelerate to O (with fire on X and absorb weapon on /\ so I can press them while keeping O hold down) then I'm not giving them my money.
Yeah that makes sense. I've fairly dainty hands for a guy my size so didn't have an issue, but i can see why it'd be a problem.
I wonder did they retain the control edit from the PS3 version of HD/Fury?

Just started playing HD and was all was good until I got to the first zone one, it was all going swimmingly until I got to zone 21 and the gave crashed and an error popped up. Sweet.
Just started the HD+Fury DLC this morning!
The amount of additional content is staggering, and it looks sublime on the Vita. Seriously everything from the PS3 version is there and it plays brilliantly!
Surely WipEout 2048 + HD + Fury is now the definitive WipEout!?
My only gripe - playing the DLC doesn't give you XP for levelling up
It's such a huge game when you add the two dlc packs. Its going to take me months to get through this lot!
@steveb07 - well I've completed the first 3 campaigns for HD in about 1 1/2 hours, the only thing is that they number of races in each increases as you progress.
Seriously good, and tempting me back to the PS3 version

Picked this up via a swap with Uncharted. Only thing is, the online code has been used. Worth 7.99 to reinstate, or just play on without it? What's the online side like?
I'm not a fan of online TBH. Play though SP first, and if you still yearn for online play after you're done with it, then the £7.99'll probably be worth it...
It gives you a separate campaign to play online basically.
It's kinda loose with its goals too - let's say you're starting out and you end up in a race with lots of high level players, your goal for that race isn't to win it, it'll probably pass you for just completing it, elite pass would probably be completing it ahead of a particular player. Similarly, the higher ranking players will have different, more difficult goals to achieve. The different types of ships means you get some interesting competitions too!
Dunno how active the online is now (or if the HD/Fury expansion has split the player base), but i thought it was pretty enjoyable. Then again, i am an unabashed Wipeout fanboy
