Registered 7 years ago@fb77 Yeah, most of it is overpowered (at least compared to what you start out with). That said, you should at least grab the music sets. It'll put everything into the in-game store for you to buy when in-game money becomes no object. The music sets themselves are free in real life but in-game, each song is about 105z each (in-game currency).On Twitter: @HiddenAway1

Registered 7 years ago@Kangoo Sadly, yes. The servers are locked by the region the game comes from. So US players won't be able to play with EU players.
Not the highest profile case though. That award goes to Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii U

Registered 2 years agoHad a fun little play on this when I got back last night. It's nice being released from the demo restrictions. Loot, loot!
What classes are you guys going with initially? I started as a hunter, since I didn't get to try that in the demo.
And I'd forgotten about the Japanese trophy thing. Confused my sleepy brain for a moment - I thought I'd clicked on the wrong game until I started reading.

Registered 8 years agoI will certainly try the demo on my PS Vita but the gameplay looks very shallow and repetitive from the trailer I just watched on YouTube. I really seeing some footage and screenshots from it around the time of the PS Vita's launch last year and being quite excited about it at the time. Registered 8 years agoNice that the full game isn't much bigger than the demo (1.2 GB vs. 820 MB) as I actually liked the demo so I may well buy this at some point. Registered 7 months agoNot tried playing with anyone else yet - to be honest I only play it on the train on the way home as it stops me from falling asleep which is a good thing.
It's an enjoyable game, even though every single quest is "go and beat the shit out of this many monsters", or "pick up this many things by beating the shit out of this many monsters" but I look forward to playing it every (week)day so it's doing something right! -

Registered 9 years agoI tried the demo for this and couldn't figure out how to defend boss attacks at all. The guard function works on little mobs, but seems to do bugger all against that orc and the fire dude.
Is there a dodge function I'm missing or something, as I quite enjoyed it but can't be naffed if all it involves is hacking away and chugging potions? -

Pressing square does a type of "boost" move that I used repeatedly on that Orc chap to dodge his attacks.
To be honest though, much of my gameplay is hacking away and chugging potions so might not be your cup of tea! -

Registered 2 years agoMost of the classes don't actually have a guard option as far as I know. I'm playing as a Ranger and I certainly don't have it.
The idea is to lay down some smacks when you judge that it's safe to do so then get out of the way pronto. You can do a ground rush (is it called a rush?) or airborne rush using the square button to do a little dart or two to speed up your escape.

Registered 2 years agoI played online with people lots. To be honest if you want to complete the game you'll have to play online with people. I can't see it being done alone. I beat the final story boss several times best was in a three person party at maximum level with what i would say with resonable good weapons and armour. It was months ago i played this but want to say i was hitting 700+ a time.
Hope that gives some sort of reference. What chapter you guys on? -

Registered 2 years agoI used two classes. I mostly used my warrior type (can't remember what it's called in RO) and i built up a healer too.
I found the online community really helpful if you died they revived you pretty quick and they're quite keen to share knowledge knowledge and tips.

As a soon-to-be PSV owner I need a MH-style fix. Is this worth it? Online any good? The alternative is picking up MHFU / Gods Eater Burst, Power Stone Collection and FF Tactics or Wild Arms XF for about the same price. -

Registered 7 months agoIt's alright but certainly not as good as MH. I've not played it in a couple of weeks now and can't see myself going back to it really. Think it's the levelling system that did it, just can't be arsed with it. -
