    Until Monster Hunter Vita emerges from the depths of hell, this may help Vita's fortunes in Japan. Brought to you from the same company that brought you Grandia. It's a game in the same line as Ragnarok Online, an MMORPG in Korea.

    The Japanese demo of this particular game has apparently amassed over 100,000 downloads in the 10 days since it launched.

    The game launches in Japan on 2nd February 2012. Unsurprisingly, an EU/US release hasn't even been considered yet...

    Hmmm. My bet would be that Xseed will pick up localisation efforts and Rising Star will bring it over here. A Grand Knights History scenario.

    Two weeks in and the game has sold 41K copies. not bad for a PSV game. Gravity Rush launch week sales were 43K.

    I pressume that the Japanese are not buying digitally, but all the same are these figures retail only?

    I think its only retail, makes the charts sort of pointless except for measuring hardware. Gravity rush was 43k not 63k btw.

    Ooops. my fault then. will edit the post.

    I think the Vita store would show at least the ranking. No sales number but it would show if the game is 'popular'.

    Anyone with a japanese vita can check?

    Gungho, or as spelled in Japanese "Gun Ho" :p has announced an update tot he game. loosley trnalsted to Online Multiplayer Update 1. This includes:

    A feature for online multiplayer using Near - March

    New boss battles and quests - Starting April

    The facinating aspect is that the online aspect of the game will have a sort of 'rooms' to selet. Where you can create, or search for a room to join. Each room can be focused on a specific chapter (not sure if you can specify the quest as well) and would have its own chat functionality.

    Yeah, little bits of DLC every week, and those two bigger updates, this game is certainly not going to lack for support. Need to play a demo, but this is vying with Lord of Apocalypse and regular old PSP MonHun 3rd for something meaty to back up the more arcadey games I'll be getting with the Vita.

    Tried the demo for about 5 minutes before work this morning.

    It isn't in English obviously so I had no idea what I was doing. It looked pretty fun though. So it's an MMO of sorts?

    Online multiplayer will be added next months but its sort of a Monster Hunter game with some PSO thrown in.

    Quite entertainig with good production values and support with ongoing DLCs.

    You might be happy to know that its developed by Game Arts (Creators of Grandia series)

    Gave it another go and enjoyed it enough, but I think I preferred Lords of Apocalypse which was a more straight forward action RPG. They looked very similar though imo.

    Really like the look of this, especially as PSO2 is so far away.

    Apologies if this is a daft question, but, any reason why I shouldn't import to the UK, as long as I'm willing to accept I won't be able to read any text?

    You would need a Japanese account for any DLC, but if you just want the game on its own then it wouldn't be a problem. I'm still hoping for an EU release.

    I get an almost irrational sense of panic when games I like don't have firm release plans! I've been hitting-up YouTube for in-game footage, so I'm clearly getting slightly obsessed!

    Finally got around to watching some videos of this - looks absolutely fantastic. I'm surprised this games release in Japan didn't light a fire under Vita sales....

    I am sure the voice over in the trailer keeps saying "Action" and even said "Combo Action".

    So is the word "Action" the same in Japanese?
