Man vs food london style?

    Been watching and enjoying Man vs Food on netfix in a train wreck.kinda way. I have even been inspired to some food creations at home.

    I'm wondering if there are any places in london or the SE that do any crazy dishes in terms of size, spicyness or sheer crazy inventive?

    South African chain Spur had a branch in Wandsworth, don't know if it's still there but they used to do all you can eat ribs at some point in the week.
    Wetherspoons burger was in the sun yesterday, 1600 calories if that floats your boat.

    A shop near me used to bake metric pizzas. Rectangular, two meters long and 50cm wide, I think. They cut them up and sold them by the 25cm square. But a whole one would be one square meter which is equivalent to a pizza with a diameter of sqrt(1m/pi) = 0.56m = 56cm = 22.2in - which would probably be sold as a 24in pizza at a guess.

    Unfortunately the shop went out of business a few years ago now.

    The portions are fucking bonkers but so many of the things Adam gets to eat look fucking divine, proper yummy food.

    I think that's one of the things that gets me most about the show - despite the massive sizes most of the food looks to be extremely good quality. Made me lol when someone recently posted a 'biggest burger in the UK' video recently, which was just half a dozen tesco value burgers stacked on top of each other.

    It's a bit immoral, but a great show. The food looks sublime. Though the cheese used is pretty foul, it works on that kind of food.

    Aye, that's what makes the show so compelling. Not only do you have him try and eat pounds and pounds of food but he shows you all these places and concoctions which look and sounds so fucking tasty. I've seen breakfast burritos I could live on and I don't like burritos.

    Saying that, did see one where he had to try and eat a five pound ice cream sundae. That looked fucking rank.

    Yep, the "history" (not that America has any :) ) of the food is pretty interesting too. It also helps that it's on on a Sunday morning... when you wake up hungry with a hangover.
