|So they're not the same. Interesting. I can see a swapsies thread spawning from this lol. Just to clarify, i'm not giving up my Palutena.|
Kid Icarus: Uprising • Page 4
Pageof 10 First / Last
Dammit that was going to be my first question! Lol I hope there will be a swapsies thread as I think collecting the cards will add another layer of enjoyment to the game

Even though I probably won't get the game for ages I've just ordered a bunch of cards from the stars catalogue anyway. It will keep my excitement for the game alive.
Is it really over a year since I played the demo? Time flies!
Does this have 3 save slots and download play?
Thanks, 3 hyped kids in the house.
It has 3 save slots, but no download play. You'll need multiple copies of the game for that, unfortunately.

So what's the deal with these free AR cards you get for registering early? That bit.ly link just takes me to the Kid Icarus page which doesn't have any details about the registration deal. Is there an end date to the promotion?
Free for all MP sounds good. Anyone tried it yet?
Chapter 8 and still not really that in to it. Theres some gorgeous levels but playing with the stylus is a major discomfort, especially when on foot, although these sections are pretty inspired in places. The flying sections aren't up to star fox 64 quality.
This is out tomorrow, it got a 9 on here, i have stuff to trade in and i haven't turned on my 3DS since the weekend Resi:Revs came out.
It just looks utterly terrible though and i can't get even slightly interested in it
The graphics are gorgeous in motion, and some of the levels just radiate from the screen desert and parting sea being one. But the gameplay is pretty bog standard fair.
@NOSAVIOUR don't know what game your playing but I have got to chapter 5 and played a game of light vs dark and I think the game is amazing!!! I'm a leftie without a cpp so I have been using the buttons for movement and had no issues whatsoever aiming with the stylus is ingenious and works alot better then I imagined and although it is fairly easy (only had the difficulty on 3) I can see myself going back to it again and again trying to get better scores unlock more weapons and trophies. The ar cards are a nice touch as they unlock idols (like super smash brothers trophies) and it is cool having them pop up on wherever you place them for taking pictures aswell as give you hearts I have just played this game for 3 hrs straight without even realising it and I have just put it down and want to get back on it. I haven't had this feeling for a while. Oh and I don't find thier talking distracting, I tune out alot of it but f ind myself chuckling at the parts I do hear

The stylus is great for aiming no doubt but the cpp would just flow better, especially when on foot. It feels clunky and having to reset the circle pad to get into a sprint is a poor design choice. I'm on chapter 9 now difficulty on 3 too and not having nowhere near as much fun I did with Super Mario 3D land or Mario Kart 7.
For me the mark of a great game is when your not playing it you want to be playing it, i'm not getting that with this. Thats not to say it's not a great game just not my cup of tea.

Played this for 15 minutes last night and almost got cramp. Terrible controls and would be impossible to play on the commute.
Will give it another go this weekend if I get time, not great so far unfortunately.
Ps I appreciate that this is after just 15 minutes so not writing it off yet.

Up to chapter 4, controls uncomfortable, Hasn't amazed me yet.
Played online, came 3rd once, but its very manic not sure what the hell was going on, got a feeling it will be full off Japanese dudes who are experts at the game much like it was for Virtual-On OT.
Finally some people who are feeling how I feel. Turned off midway through chapter 9 after falling off a moving platform 5 times in a row thanks to getting shot by some little runt continuously. Considering selling it on now.
Switched off multiplayer after one go as it was pretty damn hectic and not my cup of tea.
To be honest, I think alot of people will be split by this game, I don't know if I am a minority but the controls felt natural to me even using the xyab buttons to move and every time I start a level I feel myself smile which I class as a good game, yes the controls are fiddly on the ground but I still find it alot of fun to play and have no difficulty in moving through the levels apart from being stuck on chapter 6.
Here is hoping there are a few others who feel like me

Not great feedback from those of you who've played it so far. Really putting me off it, I have to say. However, that may be no bad thing as I still have to finish Zelda ocarina, Mario 3d and Links Awakening.
So it seems like you'll enjoy this game if you don't know how to punctuate sentences properly.
@kinky_mong Dick! Actually, you will find that I do know how to punctuate sentences correctly. However I feel in this informal environment, correct punctuation isn't as important as the content. Please forgive me if my posts are not up to the standard you expect. Thank you
Edit: 'as the content'

@kinky_mong I will pass thank you. I do appreciate your need to act like a 'mong' and you have been registered on this website much longer then I have. However, As my comments have not offended anyone, other then yourself, I do not feel the need to go back and edit them.
Again, Thank you for pointing my errors.

@kinky_mong I take it you wasn't a big fan of Kid Icarus then?

@Afiddes It was alright from the 20 minutes I played last night. The ground sections were a bit poor though, and I could feel cramp setting in towards the end of my play time.
From the menus and extras it's pretty obvious that it was made by the Smash Bros team as it cribbed from Brawl's meta-game stuff right down to the way the wall of unlocks is displayed. I need to give it more time before I decide if I like it.
Ok, I give in. My grasp of the english language is shite.
If you push through the slight hand cramp it goes pretty quickly. I agree with the menu screaming super smash but I do not see that as a bad thing. I like the layout alot and I spent a fair bit of time with the trophy screen, checking out my unlocks. I think messing around with the other areas of the game helps with the hand cramp aswell as you are not constantly holding your hand in one position. Lastly, I believe your choice of weapon helps aswell as I found using the bow on the ground sections to cause more hand cramp from constantly having to lift your finger off the trigger during battles.
Edit: feel free to pick up on my mistakes again
