Any word on the current state for southpaw gamers, are we supposed to use the stand or something?

You can use the circle pad pro or the ABXY buttons to replicate the slide pad.

This preview here is worth a read.

The first of those Anime videos made by 3 different studios is on the USA Nintedo Video service. It is made by Project I.G. who do the Ghost in the shell series, I haven't watched it but I heard it is quite short. I am not sure if this is the whole of IGs input of if it is just the first part. It can be seen here in bad quality but it will probably turn up on the EU one at some point

I'm very much warming to this game now, but again i'm window shopping until I get the monster that is Xenoblade out of the way. I can't be dealing with two stories at once. My poor brain can't deal with it!

Is there any concrete info as to whether or not this game will support dual sliders or not? I don't mind using the touch screen. It seems like they've done a great job with it, but the game is still quietly asking for it.

No dual sliders, sounds like from the way it plays they wouldn't work

Thought I would post this trailer in English since I didn't get around to it before. Its quite a long one with many things shown, some of which I guess are spoilers.

Seen some footage of someone playing multiplayer at GDC. He is using the claws which I think make your character fast but are no good at distance.

The official twitter has loads of info on some of the different weapons, enemies and powers like rocket jumping but I think its only scratching the surface

Nice stuff, I hear it got a 9 from Gamereactor magazine as well.

According to the official twitter the first part of the 3 animes will be on the Nintendo Video channel tonight.

The art design looks really quite fantastic... I do kind of wish this was coming to Wii/Wii U, but then again, if this turns out to be a successful revival of the Kid Icarus franchise, then I suppose a home console iteration isn't that far behind.

Yeah, I want to know this too. I'm going to really struggle to play this as a leftie. But then in Japan they tend not to have many of them as they're forced to use their right hands from an early age. At least that's what my wife tells me.

The CPP can be used to implement southpaw. Left hand on the touch screen, right on the right slider. Obviously it wont work with the stand that also comes with the game.

There is a new bit of the japanese site dedicated to the music with some samples
    http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/akdj/music/music01.html

The music is done by these guys:
Motoi Sakuraba: Tales of, Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile, Baten Kaitos, Dark Souls, Golden Sun
Yuzo Koshiro: Streets of Rage, ActRaiser, Shinobi, Etrian Odyssey
Masafumi Takada: Killer7, No More Heroes, God Hand, Vanquish
Noriyuki Iwadare: Lunar, Grandia, Radiata Stories, Pheonix Wright
Yasunori Mitsuda: Chrono Trigger/Cross, Xenoblade, Shadow Hearts

They are making a soundtrack CD, dunno if Europeans will get it though.

Same :) After getting 40/40 in Famitsu, learning it has online multiplayer meant a pre-order for shoptop, hopefully it will arrive on the usual day (wednesday!) instead off Friday.

Some guy on Neogaf who has the game has been chatting about it and posted a few videos. The guy has been giving away loads of spoilers and has a habit of retelling the jokes he just heard so I am going to avoid that thread from now on.

    Here are his videos
3rd level 8min video Not many spoilers really as the boss he fights has been in many of the trailers. Maybe a couple of minor enemies and jokes could be spoiled.

    Major Spoilers in these videos
A short video from later on in the game. I wouldn't recommend watching it if you fully intend on getting it already but if you do only watch the first 50-60 seconds. Looks amazing.

Another short video but again spoilers. This has something reminiscent of Star Wars.

Hey ign just put thier review up, it doesn't have a score but it seems like the reviewer enjoyed it despite its flaws so I guess he will give it an 8 or 8.5 anyway the link is below

    http://m.uk.ign.com/articles/1221062

Apparently reading the comments it got an 8.5 but my iPhone is shit and doesn't show it. Anyhow 8.5 is a good score

No playable demo, no sale. The description of those controls sound less than appealing.

Theres been a few reviews released in the last hour or so. As I predicted they are quite mixed. Most range from 8 to 9 except Destructoid which gave it a 5 saying the ground section controls really let it down. Other reviews have criticised those controls as well but none as damning as that.

There is generally always one that scores it low to get its name plastered onto metacritic, i didnt think it would be destructiod.

At the end of the day, i am a leftie and i had no trouble with Metroid prime: hunters or dillons rolling western and both of these use similar control schemes so i dont know why they are complaining.

Same here! The controls sound a bit like the Metroid Prime:Hunters setup on the DS. That also worked, but not for prolonged sessions...

This was the first game I played at the pre-launch event (strange to think it's not out even yet), and I found the controls fairly easy to adapt to. Admittedly, the system was already on a sort of stand, so I didn't need to juggle it to hold it.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

I've always loved the control scheme. I found it instantly very intuitive in both Metroid Prime: Hunterd and the short go I had on Kid Icurus. It's the closest thing to a mouse and keyboard setup on a handheld I've used - maybe it helps if you're a PC gamer too?

Admittedly I haven't played an extended Kid Icarus session on my 3DS, but I hold it the same way on Nintendogs with no discomfort - the right hand side of the console slides in between my bottom 2 fingers easily. That's just me though, I can see it feeling weird for people that have only played games that primarily use buttons (like the majority of 3DS games use so far).

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

I could actually play Metroid Prime: Hunters for long periods of time, but it involved putting my legs up and resting the console on them. I'll probably do ok with this, but I still feel a dual analog set up would have been nice.

I dunno, some people are saying the controls are great once the become second nature and you probably wouldn't be able to cope with dual analogues on really high intensity levels.

    GamesTM gave it a 9
    http://www.gamestm.co.uk/reviews/kid-icarus-review/
I am quite surprised by that as they tend to give lower then average scores for 3DS games
