    A sad day indeed... they were gunned down at a concert in Ohio, with their new band Damageplan. What a fucking world!

    According to eyewitness accounts, the gunman initially shot and killed the band's guitarist, Dimebag Darrell. Darrell, 38, and his brother, Vinnie Paul, 40, are former members of Pantera

    I am/was a big fan of them. "Vulgar Display of Power" in the early 90s left me speechless. The tight playing between the two brothers was what made them unique. This is devastating news for me.

    What the fuck!!! That's awful news, saw them at the download festival and they were pretty good considering that Damageplan are a new band

    Holy crap, man I loved Dimebag the man was a genius on the guitar and vulgar display was massive.

    I saw pantera live a few times and they were truly awesome.

    Sad news indeed.

    That link wasn't clear about who died exactly tho..

    BBC news have got it as well, so there go all chances of it being a fraud (Which I really really hoped it was)

    Vinnie's gonna pull through from what I've heard - not even sure if he's injured at all. There's rumours that Pat Lachman's dead and the bassist from the opening band took one in the leg at point blank range.There's a few members of the audience in hospital... and I think a security guard dead.

    I saw Pantera live in the 90's, and loved their Cowboys from Hell and Vulgar Display of Power albums.
