I'm after some advice. In a couple of weeks me and a few mates(16 in total) are heading down to Brighton for a couple of nights on the lash. I was just wondering if any you could recommend any decent bars/nightclubs?

I came across the door guy while doing a quick search and it seems quite good value for money but only if the bars/clubs are good.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

What sort of thing you after? All those places, sea front clubs and West st in general will be full of other stag and hen night and nothing else. Head straight down from the station and it's all there. I worked at heist once upon a time, just thinking about west st makes me shudder now.

God mate, I'd say some of those clubs like Oceana are the trashiest examples of Brighton nightlife featuring girls wearing belts as skirts in January and blokes in poor shirts and nasty shoes. However, if you want a good chance of snogging some pissed up slapper and maybe a ruck with a bloke from Seaford afterwards you are onto a winner.
Having said that, sixteen blokes may find it hard getting into some places and that pass should errm bypass all that? It is a stag night after all. It all depends what you want and what you like.

We are staying in the premier inn on north St so places reasonably close to there would be best as a couple of the party are pushing 60! We are also going to the dogs on the Saturday night which I'm really looking forward to :)

aha better, some more context! Hove dogs is a good one, I live not too far from there. You should have some fun doing that. If you are staying in North Street and are more mature then you should be happy with a short wander north into the North Laine, or an equally short wander south into the Lanes themselves. Plenty of half decent pubs in both for a few pints and then wander into Graces for 'Gentlemens entertainment'? ;-)

The seafront clubs are always there if you want to carry on. I'd either go to Audio on the off-chance or walk down to the beach itself and try the clubs under the arches. Don't do Oceana or Wahoo or whatever they call themselves these days (the clubs in West Street)

Your best bet for a decent night out in Brighton is to go to the gay bars.

Oceana Club, Wahoo, Yates, Revolution, Pasha and Bright Helm is my idea of concentrated teenage chav hell.

I think the average age of the group is 40+ so I think it maybe a bad idea to go to these venues! I think the dogs are going to suit us far better.

40+ doesn't mean homophobic, hell I'm almost in that bracket.

Sorry DB I didn't make myself very clear. I have no issue with going to the gay bars, I think the group would probably stand out more at Pasha etc.

Never mind then, just trying to broaden your options. Doing something that isn't in some way connected with the brighton gay scene is going to be a chavtastic affair.
