Tesco are selling 16GB PS3s for £120, according to their TV ad I saw last night anyway.

We have a Dolce Gusto in the office and the coffee it makes is sublime! Yeah I know, it takes pods, but it's still tempting to have for weekends and special occasion coffee. -

Registered 5 years agoI'm tempted to try town today although I doubt much will be open over here, I really fancy getting a bargain 360 if I can and redownload Ikaruga.
Maybe try and get a few bits of clothing for work too. -

Registered 5 years agoUnfortunately I work at M&S, so yes I will be venturing out today - they are actually sending one of the managers to pick me up, as I live in the sticks and my bus isn't running today.
It doesn't really bother me all that much, but there is a fair amount of ill feeling among our staff. -

I had to work at generic high street department store today, it wasn't all that busy to be honest. I buy all of my stuff online because I hate people.

This.
People who go out shopping in the sales on Boxing Day like it's the event of the year or something are incredibly sad. Have a bloody lie-in and then get pissed FFS.
Besides, wait till new year and the bargains are even better anyway. Now with 80% more Cthulhu!

I picked up a "Piccolo" today in the Amazon sale - also for £39 but made by Krups as opposed to the Tesco one which is made by DeLonghi. Both take the Dolce Gusto pods.

We have a Krups one at work and as stated above in my previous post, the coffee is very very good. Pods are a tad expensive but I ain't gonna use for every cup, probably just the starter in the morning.
Also, there's no cleaning involved, just chuck the used pod away. -

Registered 9 years agoI went into Newcastle city centre earlier today with the intention of getting a new notebook from John Lewis, and they were bloody shut!?
It was there loss, as I then gave my money to PC World instead, who were absolutely heaving with customers!( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

We've got one of these at work - it breaks all the time, bit of a problem when it's been left on its own and you return to find the kitchen flooded with weak coffee...

Registered 8 years ago@Asha,
Yeah , I couldn't believe John Lewis and Fenwicks were both shut. Fair play to them for giving their staff a proper break. Metrocentre was fully open. Bagged about £320 worth of nice clobber from fatface for £190. Was well chuffed. Normally the stuff in the sales is a load of crap. -

Registered 8 years agoThe John Lewis one in the Trafford centre was really good. Like an old school sale where actual good things what good discounts. Didn't really venture too far past the clothes section but seemed throughout the shop. -

Registered 8 years agoAnd h&m were demonstrating how exactly not to do a sale with three racks of clothes brought out from fuck knows when with 10-15% discounts. Telling that theirs was by far the quietest shop that I went to. -

Registered 7 years agoIf you ever get the opportunity to grab a Dolce Gusto pod machine - DO IT! Currently on my second "Americano" this morning and it is amazing coffee. Unfortunately, they've gone a back up in price almost everywhere after the Sales but Tesco still have the Piccolo at £39 albeit out of stock for now (keep an eye on it).

Sorry mate, never saw this. You can get 16 pods for £3.77 at any of the large supermarkets, so 23p / coffee. Also, when you get a Dolce Gusto machine for the first time you get a £10 voucher to spend in their online store. Picked up 3 boxes and only had to pay delivery.
@sport cheers.I was originaly gonna get the one that uses the fresh beans but i think they are more expensive and more hassle.are the pods that expensive? Was wondering how many cups you get out of them. -

MadCaddy13 wrote:
Some do, like the Cappuccino - you get a white and black pod to use together. I never bother with those. Loads of others do 16x1 pods, like Americano, Caffe Creme, Lungo, Espresso etc...
