    Blerk has suggested a gift trading thread, and the Steam gift trade/group buy thread at CAG keeps a lot of clutter out of the main Steam thread, so it seems it would be useful to have one here!

    This thread can be used to start or suggest buying 4-packs in a group, as well as trading extra copies of download games and/or Steam gifts. Download sites like Gamersgate also have a gift option.

    One rule in the CAG thread is no trading/selling of those pay-what-you-want Indie pack games, as it would just lead to shameless profiteering and may well dominate the thread. I like that rule. Let's have that rule! And don't post what you want to trade in all-caps.

    Don't forget that if you're joining a 4-pack, please gift Paypal payments - it's not fair for the host to pay your fees!

    If you're trading Steam coupons, make sure to mention their restrictions (what products/dates). Edit: People are listing their Christmas 2011 Steam Coupons from the bottom of page 9.

    I should probably mention that if you have a Steam coupon that isn't valid until the 2nd of January, it would probably be best to offer it from then. ;)

    And anyone who starts a 4-pack for EYE: Divine Cybermancy should have paid more attention at school. :p

    Great idea, I've got a copy of Portal, Half-Life 2 and Ep1 available if anyones keen, but as Gartt said, most likely have them.

    Also on the Paypal payment/charges thing, does gifting still work? I was under the impression that the only way to avoid the reciever getting charged was if you funded it straight from your bank account, rather than a debit/credit card.

    The recipient doesn't get any fees with a gift - but the fees for the sender are lower using more direct funds (not sure if it's lower just using direct-from-bank or if it has to be direct-from-your-Paypal-balance).

    How do you find out what keys are surplus on your account? I now I have a few from previous bundles but where would I track them down for gifting?

    In your Steam app, click "Games" at the very top (in the "File/Edit" location) and Manage Gifts and Guest Passes.

    If you got extras from bundles, they do depend on if the title itself let's you keep spares, otherwise they just drop into the void, but you can click the envelope at the top of the steam client, the 0 gifts available (I think) and it should link you to your gift inventory.

    I'd like episode 1 if it's still avaible oh and I have a 25% off valve coupon which I'll give out to anyone who wants it when it becomes valid.

    I'm not sure what my prize/potential offering is as my inventory hasn't updated all day unfortunately.
