    Sweet!
Mrs Boo's bought me that for my birthday.

    /fidgets until Birthday

I've seen a video review and I'm amazed that they've got four (iirc) different functions operating off one gearwheel. Can't wait to see how that works.

    Awesomesauce!

Not only did Mrs Boo get me the aforementioned Technic helicopter for my birthday, she also went a bit nuts and bought me the VW Camper Van too!

And some of our friends bought me the Lego Technic Builders Guide.

    Yay for birthdays!

    Got this yesterday.

Not started building it yet as my eldest (3 1/2) insists that he wants to help me... It should make for a fun Wednesday afternoon, though :)
Built this afternoon (and evening). I'll post pictures when I remember how to, but it's a seriously amazing build. The complexity of the mechanics - as Boo said getting 4 actions off a single gear - is staggering. A league above the tow truck I got previously.

Oh, and nicked the motor from my SW AT-AT, so the whole thing is motorised now :D

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Built up the Fury Sith ship the other day. It's a great build with lots of surprisingly intricate methods. This is something I've noticed with a lot of the SW sets, that they require some quite technical building involving plenty of Technics pieces, weird angles and hidden techniques. The Sith ship even needed some rubber pieces to make the wings attach.

The model itself is very cool, very swooshable and really big and heavy. For its piece count, (700ish) it's surprisingly imposing. Another recommendation from Khani.

There's a LEGO store opening up in the new shopping centre here soon.

I had no idea such a thing existed. I am childishly excited.

LEGO stores rarely sell things cheaply unfortunately. Although they do have everything and are great to look round in.

I wouldn't call all of those bargains e.g.

LEGO Star Wars Republic Troopers vs Sith Trooper

    ASDA: 26 - http://direct.asda.com/LEGO-Star-Wars-Republic-Troopers-vs-Sith-Troope/000711175,default,pd.html

    AMAZON: 10 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/LEGO-Star-Wars-75001-Republic/dp/B0094J2BQO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1363464421&sr=8-1

Just built 9472 Weathertop (completed the LoTR theme now) and 9500 Sith Fury-class Interceptor; wouldn't say this has converted me to the Star Wars theme, but it is a very nice model. It's very swooshable, which could lead to embarrassment ^__^

Amazon have matched Asda on the 9499 Gungan Sub at 33.73. Amidala alone fetches around 20 quid, so a good price if you're after parts.

Where is Helms deep 1/2 price? Usual haunts show it around 75. I think we should have a rule that say about a bargain have to post where you saw it too! :)

That new crawler body looks superb.

I'd love to get back into Technics but there's just way too much Lego that I want to spend money on.

Tesco have had instore at this price and stock keeps appearing, but its virtually impossible to find in some areas, and not the same price online. Dunno anywhere else though.

Succumbed to the lure of double points and ordered the Technic Logging Truck...

Just after I got the 'Your order has shipped' email, Short-Round pointed out I could have saved another 20 by ordering from the Italian Amazon site.

Oh well, you live and learn.
